Android AU where Logan is a scrapyard mechanic in this run down community, and comes across Remus, a torn up entertainment android missing half his internal computer workings. Logan, in his isolation, decides to take him in and fix him up, getting him working again with the other parts around the place. It takes a while, and he's not even sure he's made the right choice, till he hears Remus talk for the first time.
He knows now, why the android was scrapped, something with his core process is scrambled, he speaks in broken and scattered thoughts, often using profanity and very very creative visuals. Logan is enamored, he keeps working till Remus can again walk around the scrap yard with him. Help with basic tasks. The two quickly become inseparable.
I'd like to think of the other sides being people in the community, or other androids. Roman would be another entertainment droid of course, and Remus only has scattered memories of the times they were performing together before he was scrapped. Roman does his best to avoid that fate before running away with Patton to the small community outside the major city that's been dumping all this junk here. Virgil and Thomas are somewhat of leaders, helping keep the people safe and supplies up. Janus would be some kind of medic or seamstress, maybe both, that Virgil can't stand but knows they need. Logan is only close with Janus and Virgil at the beginning of the story, before Patton with Roman shows up needing a place to stay. Thomas welcomes them in and Logan and Remus have to cope.
