Reply 1988 is still on top of my list. High among my TOP 5 and not just because it was one of the first dramas I watched, and not even because of Park Bogum. There is a good reason why Reply 1988 is popular among many kdrama fans, and it is mostly cus of its relatability. The comedic appeal is its initial hook, but the depth of the story, which courses through the lives of the five friends, is ultimately why any viewer would sit through the 20 episodes.

“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”
James 1: 19-20
if there’s one thing I’ve learned about giving in to my hysterics, it’s that the regret is real. When all is clear and you have a better grip on things, you’ll realize that it was all for nothing.
So really, what’s the point?

Enduring the Pain that Comes After Death
Death is never easy. The whole world will start spinning when you receive the news of someone’s death. You will be suspended at that moment and everything will feel heavy. The pain will be excruciating. The noises in your head will be too deafening–and so you scream to be heard. I know this because when I received news of my Papa’s death I screamed and threw a tantrum on the floor of the clinic. People were there, but I didn’t care. I didn’t care that people could hear me wail. The pain of death is the kind of pain that numbs you from feeling anything else. So at that moment, nothing else will matter but the pain of your loss.

Observing caution is always good, not just when crossing the street, but it’s important so that you can avoid all kinds of accidents. You STOP in order to prevent yourself from making unnecessary movements; you LOOK because you can easily miss something; and you LISTEN, mostly to your heart.
Enduring the Pain that Comes After Death
It’s okay to feel sad. You’ve lost someone so dear to you, so it’s normal if you want to be devoured by your gloom. I allowed myself to be sad when my Papa died. I missed him every day. After a while, I realized that I wasn’t so sad anymore. I still miss him–I think that never goes away–but I have accepted his death. The truth is that, although we lost my dad so abruptly, I am grateful that God gave us a chance to care for him.

All women are equal. Mothers only assume a different role to the childless, but they are not more superior human beings. So come on, let’s #metoo this cause.

What big questions do you have about life and love? Many people go through their lives here on Earth not finding those answers, and sometimes it doesn’t matter. But we labor for hours, solving these puzzles in an effort to figure things out for ourselves. Perhaps that’s because your Science teacher opened his class by saying: “Science is everything around us”.
And since Science exists to explain everything, we think we can find answers.
