You could try timing yourself. See how far you can get in 30 seconds and hit reset until you’re where you want to be. Watching Hamilton sounds more fun but you never know.

I typically enjoy it. If you’re looking for recommendations, I have some good ones, though I tend to favor books with darker themes, so if that’s not your thing then these will probably be worthless recommendations. Anyway, We Were Liars by E. Lockhart, Dare Me by Megan Abbott, and The Basic Eight by Daniel Handler! There’s also the Virgin Suicides, which is a classic. Are you still out of Lima? 

I can handle darker themes even if they aren’t my go-to. I like biographies and it’s difficult to read those without darker themes creeping in. What is We Were Liars about? Authors who use initials are always so intriguing. I’m not, I’m back, just hanging out in my room and the library for the most part.

I have a question though – what’s so wrong about your grandparents? I’m sure they’re great, especially their interesting stories about the war and how everything back then was just so great. I mean, come on, they probably lived through JFK and Woodstock. 

There’s nothing wrong with them. They’re not so much the talking type, unless it’s gossip, and I don’t feel like going through neighbourhood gossip for days on end. Cooking with them was pretty interesting though... Do you usually talk to your grandparents about things like that?

I love going on hikes, seeing movies, having picnics. Those kind of things are exciting to me. Which isn’t always exciting to everyone else so that’s why I try not to suggest too many things.

I like those suggestions. Maybe not the hiking.. but movies and picnics sound fun. Especially if they’re both done in the same day. Suggest away!

I did but couldn't stay too long thanks to curfew. I don’;t have a crush, exactly, but I could... maybe try skinny dipping... I’m not really sure where that’s acceptable, though.

I’m incredibly offended by the statement, but I’m not sure if I want to argue the point, considering music taste is different for everyone, so… fine. If you really wanna know, listen to I Wanna Talk About Me or How Do You Like Me Now. He’s also had a lot of drama, but that’s enough talking about him. Is this you testing me to perform that for karaoke next time I have the chance? Because I definitely will. Or I could do Shania Twain, which would probably be much more entertaining considering that I don’t have a tractor for any woman to think is sexy. Sad, honestly. A dream crushing fact… but, uh, unrelated, did you find the bang? 

I’ll change it to ‘I consider...’ if it helps. Looking up ‘HI Wanna Talk About Me’ was... enlightening... In the worst way. This Toby guy played right into a lot of the stereotypes and it isn’t flattering. WHo new it was such a hassle to listen to someone talk about their day and just... shut up and listen? It is a test and I’m going to need to prove yourself. Did some research and you should go the “That Don’t Impress Me Much” route and give a big screw you to the tractor lovers out there. I sadly didn’t. Chickened out on the possibility of anything more than fading in and out of a party. Did you?

I know, but I’m also not really the party-throwing type... especially when I’ve got my family home and no other place to throw it. Why did you want the competition for her party?

Being out of town, visiting family, does seem like one of the less exciting ways to spend break, but hopefully you’ve had some fun regardless… or at least have been able to relax, or something. In the off chance I’m forced to spend an extended amount of time with family I often just go off on my own and read somewhere, but that’s not exactly what I’d call going out with a bang, nor is it creative, so. 

Reading’s fun! Well, for the most part. It really depends on what you’re reading. If you were me what book - or books - would you have taken with you to distract yourself from the sad reality of the situation? Which I do enjoy my family... but it wasn’t really the break most people were having.

I’m sure you could find some ideas on going out with a bang through the song ‘Live Like You Were Dying’. Some helpful life tips, and maybe a few tears along the way. Though, that’s really the truth behind most country music… minus anything by Toby Keith because he’s an insane, self-obsessed man who I just can’t find it in me to like, for some reason, and ‘She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy’. I know the point of this wasn’t for a discussion on country music, but I’m sorry to say that’s where it’s definitely ending. 

I think most country music is abhorrent but I can respect the creative answer! How is Toby Keith an insane, self-obsessed man? I have heard “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” and it’s one of the most disappointing karaoke songs to ever exist. I’ve seen a lot of drunk people try to kill it and fail miserably, toddling home disappointed in their cowboy boots.
