Truthfully Reeve, in control of Cait would still not prefer to be in front of the Qunari compound with letter in hand while the real Reeve stood safe in Orlais. It was unfair for the wee mecha magic doll Cait. Who was...really small compared to the average qunari of the horn kind.

It was, because Cait Sith is usually a distraction from actual work being done. Of course its in Reeve personality to annoy everyone on a personal level.

Reeve for all the goodness in his heart could not resist scaring a few people or two. Sure it helped him calm down the masses when one of the heroes of the world came out in his cait sith form, but still.
