The thing about being ‘born & raised’ in a city, is that you start to feel trapped. Trapped in a sense that you want to live in another place but this is where you lived your entire life. This is where all your family, friends, and memories live. What kind of person would want to leave all that behind? Is it really worth losing all those things just to step out of your comfort zone to start your own adventure? I’ve spent countless of nights researching about other cities to live in proximity to where I live and it just won’t ever happen. That’s the downfall to living in a place where rent costs you an arm and a leg, or even your insanity. It’s been a dream of mine to start my journey in another place and to just basically start a new adventure. The only thing that’s holding me back are the people who are driving me away. So why am I here? Why don’t I just do what I want to do with my life? I mean, distance makes the heart grow fonder right? Fear & anxiety have been by my side lately and I can’t shake of the feeling of not knowing. But I guess that’s what the future is, you just don’t know until you do it. But I’m just so over making rash decisions without having the proper resources. I want to do this the right way, when I’m ready. So for now, I’ll just have to keep my eye on the prize and not resent the place that I call home.
