I felt a supreme sense of despair seeing Guts’ appearance after using the Berserker Armour. Losing an eye and an arm was pretty devastating, but there was something about seeing him with white hair for the first time that really struck a chord. So far I’ve felt no real fear that Guts wouldn’t survive. However now I feel that he will not die in some final blow in battle as an able bodied man, he will slowly fall apart until his body completely gives out.
