~ Batman: Black and White
Everytime we get a lil bit of Bruce's childhood, it showcases how the batkids' craziness is the same shit Bruce did as a child. Yeah, before his parents died, when Thomas took Bruce to visit one of his associates, Bruce would go hang out with the gargoyle. Yes, this is an extremely tall building, why do you ask? You think it's not safe for a child under 12? (Because, like Dick, the age at which his parents died change from 8 to 12 depending on the story)
Is it a good time to start off Mermay with a siren Hua Cheng and his little catch? 🧜♂️
The "Batman is copaganda" meta analysis needs to fucking die, holy shit. This is just because he deals with everyday crimes more than other heroes and is a detective instead of just coming in to smash the bad guy. Batman was literally born because the justice system failed him, because cops failed him. One of the most prevalent theme in Batman is that the cops are corrupted and untrustworthy, that the system doesn't help people and doesn't work, that criminals deserve second chances, that Batman is not the best solution but the only solution rn, that nobody should die, not even criminals.
And it's true that there are Batman's stories that are copaganda, but I'm at a point where I don't want to here your criticisms of them, because y'all are ignoring all the time the system is criticized in Batman and generalizing him.
"He's propaganda for violent vigilante justice" wtf are the other heroes doing? Giving kisses to bad guys? Weren't you the folks celebrating Wonder Woman as "better than Batman" because she kills her bad guys? And Hawkgirl (an usamerican citizen) killing a (non-usamerican) president? But my guy is copaganda because he beat up a rapist? Ok.
Hal Jordan is an ex air force pilot, aka an ex member of the US military, Barry Allen is a forensic scientist working for the police, John Stewart was a US marine, but Batman is copaganda because he trusts ONE cop? Ok.

Let's smile with Hua Cheng!
proof Bruce Wayne is a dad part 2/?: he tucks his kid’s head under his chin and carries them without any visible effort.
urgent questions
One of my favorite hualian scenes
I bet those post-canon heavenly meetings are.... interesting.
Xie Lian shows up reeking of ghost qi, Pei Ming is amused but Mu Qing and Feng Xin sure aren't, poor Ling Wen is still paying for her crimes, Quan Yizhen is NOT paying attention, Yin Yu reformed recently and has a bad feeling. Plus the absentees Lang Qianqiu who overslept and Yushi Guang who is living her best life and still doesn't bother showing up.
A sweet treat~
So, I may be reading wrong/too deep with this attempted analysis, but to my understanding of the text in the childhood flashbacks from 3AP1 (specifically the end of their trip to the grandparents’ house, & the homework scene during LU’sforced vision quest) is that the most narrow contributing factor to Andy and Leyley growing into their sexually-confused codependency was not just the neglect and bad socialization in school, not just that Renee parentified Andy, but specifically Renee would castigate or guilt-trip Andrew anytime he tried to lash out at or punish Leyley for being a little shit. This drilled it in his head that appeasing or bribing her was the only allowed course of interaction, so that even as a teen when mom stopped enforcing it he was still reflexively buying her placation, which in turn slipped inexorably into him unconsciously tying his entire capacity for find treatment to Ashley.
If I’m off-base, go ahead and tell me what I’m overlooking or giving too much play. But even if I’m wrong about this being the keystone to their mutual crush, I feel confident in saying that Renee sabotaging pre-teen Andrew’s attempts to enforce boundaries/consequence for misbehavior fucked his & Ley’s mindsets and dynamic on top of everything else wrong with them. So the real question I wanted to ask is: what change, if any, and whether better or worse, would the two have gone through if Andy was allowed to crashout against Leyley ruining his things and social life?
Due to the following line, I actually believe the "sexually confused" part of the equation is implied to be caused by something we haven't seen yet:
"If everything hadn't been so screwed up from the start, I know I wouldn't have ever come to see her that way."
But otherwise you're pretty spot on.
Andrew being allowed to set boundaries probably would've been better for him, yeah. It would've been better for Ashley too if Andrew managed to set these boundaries in a way that didn't hurt her too much, but I think an outright crashout would've just made things worse for her. Ashley still needed and deserved love and care, and Andrew hurting her instead of giving it to her wouldn't have changed her developmental path for the better.
She probably would've deserved that crashout depending on when it happened, mind, but sometimes you gotta give people what they don't actually deserve to help them better themselves.
