This talented Graphic designer is Trishna Sen who is an absolute WHIZZ KID on the computer. She has produced several illustations and a small book of illustrations which reflect her chosen project topic of Habits and Addictions. She wanted to look deeper into these things and see what people do and how it effects them. Whilst researching she discovered some shocking additions which by some people can be perceived as 'normal'. She chosen to make awareness of this as it is letting us know that we know people behind closed doors and we don't see some of the stuggles people can go through. This is a very good subject to study and her creations have shown these really well.
These are both pieces of work Oliwia Kyc has created previously. Her ability to draw and paint so precisely are incredible and I can see her future in art and design very bright!
Oliwia Kyc is a fine artist who does portrait paintings amazingling well. For her final project at college she decided to illustrate through the use of her painting the idea of people hiding behind artificial goods such as makeup. She had the idea to paint herself with a zip down her face which behind it is revealing the real her - without all the makeup. She wanted to make aware how people shouldn't hide behind a mask and should accept who they are, and that others should accept people for who they are too and not judge someone before knowing the true them. Oliwia wanted to promote inner beauty and how to her, that is more significant than the outer shell we create for people to see.
My completed final piece for a college project, investigating emotions and experimenting with watercolours and inks. WHEY!
Small testers of how to achieve what I want to for my final piece. Going pretty well, at the mo...
Here are a few designs for my t - shirts and cotton bag… just trying to decide where abouts I would like to place my design..
Any ideas please let me know which one you think by leaving me a comment
thank you:)

Experimenting with oil pastels and working with ink. Photocopies of my original drawing as shown, I have also done a painting of these to help make decisions for my final piece of what materials to use.
After going through the process of taking photographs, transferring onto acetate, redrawing and scanning..I finally have a successful outcome showing digital processes for my work. I have layered many pictures ontop of eachther behind the portrait which reflect the persons interests. PROUD! I plan to incorporate Photoshop and other processes more for my work.

Through doing a bit of research on Sarah Hankinson for my Summer Assignment, I came across this photo and illustration which is my favourite of hers.
She has used a great technique to apply colour to selected areas of the picture which adds an amazing effect. By looking at the two photographs, it is clear that she has also improvised with the picture to add her own stamp on it. This is why I adore her work so much. I also love the elements of the picture which is left less detailed, the hair for example, as it makes the piece of work look less cluttered and focus' the eye on something specific, the clothes. I have noticed this in a lot of her work.
Sarah Hankinson.
As part of my Summer Project I have had a browse around to find out which illustrators interest me the most, for me to create my own interpretation and response to their work. After hours of searching I eventually came across a great Fashion Illustrator, Sarah Hankinson.
She is a unique artist who uses a range of simple, but effective medium which vary from ink to pencil, fabric to paper and she does it SO well. After graduating illustration in 2004 she then went on to have her work appear in publications such as Girlfriend magazine, and has many corporate clients, Impulse Body Spray for example.
I have chosen to study her work further as I have been attracted to her style and how some pieces are really busy, using splashes of colour and other mediums, and some are simple line drawings which catch your eye as if they were covered in splashes of colour.
The element which I would like to take from viewing her work is how she focus' on one small part of the picture, and works with it whether its by adding colour, or by using as much detail as possible. This is also a great technique to use especially for Fashion Illustration as it emphasizes the product from the background piece.

This was my favourite piece by Joan Miró which is a self portrait. It was done on canvas (146.5 x 97cm) and he has used Oil and Pencil on the canvas to create it. Pencil being my favourite medium this really caught my eye and I especially love the fact that the drawing beneath the bold foreground doesn't stand out and you have to take to moment to properly notice it, and notice what it is.
