Does anyone have any tips for hosting a professional website? i.e. somewhere I can put my resume, portfolio, etc.?

College Essay Guy: I’ve used a lot of different brainstorming exercises, but my two favorite exercises are the Objects and Values exercises. Why do I love them? They provide the most efficient way of going deep, fast. And that’s precisely what I think a great personal statement does: it goes deep, fast. Absolutely.. And honestly, I've had a few.
This is my first year where I can say, "Hey! I taught your older sibling!" It's kind of a cool feeling. But, before a student and I realized I'd taught his older brother, we had an instant connection. He was ready to have my back in an intense writing class where some students were withdrawn and apathetic. He really helped get the class ready to participate, and that was really neat.
Then, we realized that I'd taught his older brother, and my heart just swelled with joy! What a cool feeling, and an awesome family. Those boys are turning into great, stand-up young men.
Hi Everyone!! This is a very short introduction to the method that my students use for analysis. It is obviously also a very brief explanation of this method as we were pressed for time. However, this method has given me INCREDIBLE gains in our students standardized tests scores when it comes to the short answer response, which in Texas is a short analytical paragraph about a specific question. It has also vastly improved the quality of their textual analysis. The best thing about this though, is that the students find it incredibly accessible and incredibly helpful. Even my most defiant students had not only good but great things to say about this. I could go on and on but.. I wont. :) If you have questions feel free to message me!
*btw: I left that last minute in so you can see that this was totally a real live teacher modeling moment… therefore I would of course have a little negative feedback ;) lol

"Resume Rainbow" for middle and high school students Make the resume a little less daunting by working on it one section at a time. On the front is the section name and a sample (I used my own high school experiences; you can make one up). On the back is the info that must be included and some tips (e.g., lead with a verb for Experience). The cards go in rainbow order —voila! All the students have to do now is type it up. I do suggest one card per job/internship in the Experience section… mine is a little cramped. Happy resume writing (and teaching) :)
