Synopsis from WikiaFandom: The encyclopedic guide to the Showcase/Netflix science fiction show Travelers in which the consciousness of humans from the future are sent into the minds of people from the 21st century in an attempt to save humanity from a terrible future.
Fave ship from the show is Carly x Philip. I'm shook they need to be canon in season 3.
I love the concept of this show. I think it's something fresh and different but is also in ways relevant to today's issues.
Flaws: With all shows come the flaws and these are definitely the major flaws in Travelers. First off, the characters are pretty pastel ngl. All of them are mostly white on the core team except for Carly who's a woc. However *SPOILER ALERT* even then after Carly 'dies' her body is then guided by a white traveler. As a woc that was almost enough to make me stop watching but by then i was already invested . And her ex bf Jeff (darker skin shocker) is an abuser. So there's some issues within the show.
Ableism and the treatment of Marcy's character is also a bit dodgy and the way that before she 'died' no one in her family even tried to figure out how she became the way that she was.
But these are just my personal opinions on the flaws within the show. I like the plots and plot twists of the show and conceptually i find it fresh and original. If you're bored and looking for a show this would definitely be on my list but going forward i'm going need to do better. LGBTQ+ characters. Its hinted by Philip and Trevor that in the future that it's not such a huge deal. I need darker skinned characters and a developed backstory for Philip, Carly and Marcy because I want to know what happened to her family. Also on cinnamon roll David .
