Finally! Pokemon au for Sherlock! Only took me two months ah hahahahaha

It’s one of the stories I had for that Sherlock au fanbook I’m working on. This thing took so long I had time for a lot of headcanon stuff to develop.

Stuff like:

Sherlock’s inability to form a bond with any pokemon (until Gengar)

The guy in the photo is Sherlock’s great grand uncle on his mother’s side

The Holmes family specializes in fire type

The Gengar’s name used to be Unknown but Sherlock changed it to Bill

Sherlock has been modifing pokeballs to have a higher capture rate

That’s all I can recall right now. Anyways now I can move on to drawing the rest of that fanbook. Hopefully it’ll be finished before Christmas…orz

 ”Hmm, I can understand how you would feel that way.” The Doctor put his hands in his coat pockets. “Seems to be a very small town. ‘Course UK towns are a lot smaller.”

Blaine nodded a little. “Yeah. But in the UK, there’s cool accents, and cool people, and it’s just cool in general. At least to us Americans. Well, the cool Americans think that way.”

 "Ah, yes. Anglophilia. A common American trait. An odd obsession with the 'UK' as you put it, when it's usually just England as a whole. But there is so much more to that! I mean, do I sound English to you?" The Doctor waved his hands around in irritation. "Aye, Scots and Irishmen are most irritated by that, I think." 

 He ran a hand through his ginger hair, sighing. 

 "At least there are a few Americans who understand the concept. The universe is a lot bigger than England, I tell you."

”Why don’t we let the TARDIS surprise us, eh? Alright, old girl.” he said, addressing the TARDIS. “Now’s your chance ta shine. I am givin’ ya permission to go against my will and land us in some random place. Go for it.” He began flipping switches, pulling levers,..

The Doctor nodded at Clara's statement. He gripped the console tightly and looked up at the ceiling.

 "Here we go!"

 A sudden violent jerk sent Clara and himself flying across the TARDIS. They slammed into the wall. After being jerked around for a bit more, they eventually came to a stop, the Doctor's limbs tangled with each other.

 "I believe we have arrived."

 ”Only Time Lords have a TARDIS,” he said slowly. “And Time Lords…ah..they’re…”

"No more."

 ”No more?” She repeated, her eyes widening with surprise and sympathy. “You’re the only one left.” It wasn’t a question.

 He nodded, his eyes on the ground.

 "The only one left." he echoed. He rubbed his hands together.

 "You understand it's a sensitive topic, yes?" He blew air out between his pursed lips. "Anyway, let's continue on to the topic of destination."

I’ve been doing some thinking, and I just realized just how much this scene said about Sherlock’s past. It always used to confuse me, but now it makes perfect sense. Because there are so many ways that Sherlock could blow off the press, and he has explicitly stated earlier in the show that he was completely indifferent to the press. He could have just said ‘no, because you’re an idiot’ or ignored her and flounced off without a word, but he didn’t. He stepped in close, looked her right in the eye and said “You. Repel. Me.” There is blatant disgust and hatred being shown here, and I used to be baffled by it; he doesn’t even know her, where did this come from? But I’ve figured out why. It’s all in the scene.

First, she tried to trick him. That alone is an insult to his genius. But it’s how she tricked him. She could have dressed up as anything, but what did she pick? A fan. She pretended to be a fan. She pretended to be someone who liked him, who adored him. When really she saw him as her meal ticket. She wanted to use him to further her career, and she was ready to pretend to like him to do it.

After he sniffed her out, what did she do then? She still tried to feed him affection. “You’re going to need someone on your side” (aka. You’re going to need a friend to help you out.) When she knew that she had absolutely no pull. She never expected to hold up her end of the bargain.

How many people do you think have done this over the years? We know Sebastian Wilkes did. In his email, it was all “Hey buddy, how are you?”, but when Sherlock showed up, he told John about how much he hated him at Uni. About how they all hated him. And Sherlock flinched and looked away, but he didn’t look surprised. He knew. Add to the fact that Sherlock calls him ‘Seb” instead of ‘Sebastian’ or “Wilkes’. He still tried to be his friend. Still tried to cling to that.

And how many times did he let them? How many times did he think ‘I’m not someone who can be loved, so this is the closest I’ll ever get.’ But then John came along, and he realized that he could have friends. That he was someone who could be loved. And so when Kitty Riley came up to him and tried to pull the same shit that everyone else had tried to pull on him, and he got to say what he had bottled up for how many years. He got to say ‘No. Fuck you, I don’t need your scraps of affection, because I have John and Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson.’

He got to walk right up to her, look her in the eye and say to her and to Sebastian Wilkes and to everyone else who had ever done that to him “You. Repel. Me.”

 ”Alright, then sir. If you say so. Now…” The Doctor looked around him and blinked. “Where the hell are we in the first place?”

Blaine hesitated, before he looked around as well, smiling a little. “Lima, Ohio. One of the most boring places in the planet,” He said simply, shrugging.

”Ah, no. I don’t make house calls. I’m not that sort of Doctor. Aye, I would like some tea. That’s right kind of you. I do enjoy London. S’one of my favorite places to be. ‘Course there’re loads of other places to be. So I never stay for too long.”

 The Doctor laughed at the young man's curiosity. "With all the places to be, I do believe it's quite impossible to pick just one favorite." He pondered Adrian's last question and wondered how to answer. Many of his profession? "Well, there are quite a few wanderin' about. I've met a few of 'em me'self." That was true.

 "Thank you." the Doctor said, grinning. "She is amazin', isn't she?" He turned to face the console.

 "She goes anywhere in time n' space. Anywhere at all. With of course, a few restrictions. Like, you have to avoid paradoxes. Can't meet your future self, or go back to give your self advice. It's very, very, dangerous. Can't stop things from happenin' either. Like, I would've loved to stop World War II, but that's a fixed point n' time. You understand?"

 ”Aye, I’m sorry, lad. That was rude. I just have things to do. I don’t like staying in one place for too long.” The Doctor ran his hands through his ginger hair.

"Don’t worry about it," he replied with a tight lipped smile. "It’s fine." They turned the corner and were met with a large college, in the car park of which was a blue box. "Is that it?"

 The Doctor's eyes widened at the site of his beloved TARDIS. He ran towards her and wrapped his arms round best he could. He turned to face Benjamin, arms still spread out. 

 "Thank ya'! I'm so glad I found her! There must be some way I can repay ya'?" He shoved is hands in his pockets, realizing he was making quite an odd scene.

The Doctor turned his back on the criminal. "Now, if ya' excuse me," He flipped some switches on the console. "I've got to be off. Maybe we'll meet again, James Moriarty."

 He walked to the TARDIS, pulling the key from his pocket, and pushing it into the lock. He opened the door and held it for Joan to enter.

 The Doctor looked at the boy's face. He knew he was keeping something from him, but the Doctor knew better than to push.

 "Right, young man," the Doctor said, moving to the console and flipping some switches. "We can go somewhere. Anywhere you'd like. Anytime, any place. So where do you want to start?"

”Yeah? Well, who d’ya work for?” he asked, crossing his legs with a look on his face resembling a child with a new toy.
