Online Web development tools
Some interesting web development tools I have found online:
1. http://jsfiddle.net/
Javascript and CSS sandbox. A good place to play with some design experiments.
2. http://cssdesk.com/
CSS and HTML sandbox. Same as jsfiddle but I enjoy the working interface a little bit more.

Wall-street Nurseries
As a wall-street fledgling dreaming to enter into the world of wall street, this websites provide a wealth of knowledge. A lot of forums and articles on what goes behind the scenes at Wall-street.
There are a lot of contributors who have shared their experiences for free. This makes these websites both good research locations, just make sure to take the info with a grain of salt. Some advice might come from people just like you and might give you unreliable information.
1. WallstreetOasis - http://www.wallstreetoasis.com
Good source of information on the different information on the different tracks into the world of Wallstreet. Just be careful if you are taking advice to just anyone in the forum. Make sure you do your homework on the contributors just to make sure their information is true.
Some of the Books and online tools might be useful. But as far as I'm concerned I have yet to generate sufficient ROI for what I spent there. (Maybe I am not using them correctly)
2. Mergers and Inquisitions - http://www.mergersandinquisitions.com/
An alternative to the wallstreetoasis website. Additional information on Wallstreet related stuff so if you would like to enter this industry this is a good information resource.
My Trading Tools
Trading Tools
1. FINVIZ - http://finviz.com/screener.ashx?v=111&f=fa_pe_u20&ft=4
Best free stock screener I have found. I am still using this.
2. Stockcharts - http://stockcharts.com/
Good simple FREE charting tool with a lot of features. In combination with some Chrome power-user techniques this becomes a powerful and fast charting tool. It also has some good information on technical analysis and market theories.
3. Freestockcharts.com - http://www.freestockcharts.com/
An alternative to stockcharts.com it has a lot of features but I do not use this too much. If anybody has used both I would like to know your feedback.
My favorite websites
1. Khan Academy - http://www.khanacademy.org/
Wonderful website to learn almost anything. He teaches anything he finds interesting and to me that would be everything he teaches. Its a good place to start learning something new.
2. Kickstarter -http://www.kickstarter.com/
Where I go to get entrepreneurial inspiration. A lot of creative ideas to look at and keep my ideas brewing. Essentially this website is a Fund crowd-sourcing website. So instead of building something and selling it. You propose something you would like to make and if someone would like to support or buy it, they can lend their support or even donate money to your cause, whatever it may be.
3. Gummystuff - http://gummy-stuff.org/
Former professor with a love of Finance. During his years of posting Finance related stuff and excel ideas, he has generated a lot (and I mean A LOT) of Excel spreadsheets and information on various Finance topics.
4. Fi.co - http://fi.co/
Two words: Entrepreneurial Incubator. this group runs a Start-up incubator and will help guide you through the whole process of building a start-up. If you are interested in creating a start-up or collaborating with one, this may be a good location to look at.
fi.co also has a large list of entrepreneurial tools. Most of which are essentially also start-up built tools that turned into growing businesses. A good list to start building your empire.
5. Academicearth.org - http://academicearth.org/
If you wanna learn stuff on the cheap and NOT getting a diploma is not really an issue, this site will deliver. Almost any college course provided by various schools are posted in this website. Interesting topics such as (Financial Valuation, Philosophy, Applied Physics, Game Theory, and much more...)
I created this marble game in Excel VBA as an inspiration to a trading exercise on position sizing and management and the advantages of using stop loss. It is interesting to play and pretty straight forward.
To use the file:
Open the Excel file and ENABLE macros ( obviously your computer has to have MS Excel to run).
Read the Tutorial to start.
Download it here
Notes[SPOILER ALERT!]:
The current settings are set to be against the player to simulate the real worldjust the same way the market or any gambling game.
To change this settings go to settings > and access settings with "twentyfivethirtynine" for the password.
Financial Modeling Template
I am currently working on a Financial Modeling template in excel that attempts to pull all available information from free public sites.
Although there is more to Financial Modeling than simply 'spreading' information. At least this attempts to reduce the grunt work involved and to focus more on the art and technique of this job.
Here is what I plan to incorporate into the template:
Data Extractor (Google Finance, Yahoo! Finance)
Data Formatting (using my own template)
Basic Calculations and forecasts (for 'dirty' Financial Modeling)
Forecast Schedules and switches (for toggling between the basic forecasts and your own personalized forecasting.
If anyone wants to help me on this, I would greatly appreciate the help. If you do plan on using this, please accredit me and all of those who contribute out of respect. And please do not sell these for your personal gain.
You will need to turn the macros 'ON' if you want to use the import function
Update 1:
Foregoing Google Finance. Yahoo Finance uses data from CapitalIQ - a widely used software in M&A and investment organizations. Completed importing Yahoo Income Statement and Summary Info. Linked some of the pages for easy navigation.
Latest version here: Modeling(Public)v1
NOTE: Of course, since I will be using public sites: "Garbage in - Garbage out". If information in sites like yahoo are inaccurate and/or unavailable, this template will obviously not work.
