Sex based oppression exists. Just because it affects trans women differently does not mean it doesn’t affect them. Gender based oppression exists, too. All women face gender and sex based oppression for being women, including trans women.

If you must practice phrenology, do so on yourself. Do so on your mother, on your grandmother, on every cis woman you know. Do it with the same exact standards you use for strangers.

Send photos of those same women to your radfem mutuals as though they were photos of strangers, as though you were really questioning the sex of those women. As for their opinions.

Stop imagining trans women are out to get you. You are generalizing a group of women who are disproportionately discriminated against based in the assumed conflict between their sex and the role they play in society. That is sex based oppression.

“Terf” and variations thereof are not slurs. Slurs are words used against oppressed groups in a derogatory manner. You are not oppressed for being gender critical, you’re just like every other transphobe.

When someone’s gender does not conform to society’s expectations, society views that as a threat to be eliminated. You are not radical when you are agreeing with the status quo.

Terfs and transmisogynists act like they’re treading some untrodden political radicalism when they reveal their politics from the shadows but the truth is you sound exactly like a homophobic Christian conservative and your “truth” actually is quite mainstream thought about trans people so nothing you’re saying is either revolutionary or new. I feel like people who find themselves in these ideologies might as well just say: “I’ve given up examining my thoughts critically and will now endlessly gratify myself in a validation feedback loop from people who have also decided to exchange critical thinking for blaming trans women for all the social ills of the world.”

“Cis” doesn’t mean you like your gender. It means you are the gender you were assigned at birth. You don’t have to like your gender to be cis.

Many, if not most, women struggle with a disconnect from their gender. You don’t have to accept the roles and expectations of womanhood to know you are a woman.

You are either cis or trans. They are adjectives. That’s it.
