In this house we chase our bliss

The jungle swirls around them, a living, breathing thing, painted in unsettling purples and more familiar greens. The dragon’s energy flows through everything, the ground, the wildlife, the plants. Angry reds bloom in the heads of his brothers and sisters and outline the fallen’s grotesque, deformed bodies as they seek to do their master’s bidding.

But here - a smattering of gold. Gaedian allows himself to stare.

The blackness is a cloud hanging over Sigeronne, as Gaedian is sure it is for himself. But it hovers just outside, not crossing his lines, painted in calming pale green and filled in with shimmering gold. The Dream flows in him, a strong current of love and courage. Tenacity to pursue hope above all else.

Gaedian closes his eyes and lies his head down once more, for once comforted by the presence of life by his side.
