it’s sad to realize, but one of my favorite TV series was cancelled :C (in the flesh, hannibal, now dirk, whyyy) well, let’s remember how exciting it was to watch Dirk and his adventures! and remember, everything is connected!

the only way dirk/assistent would have interested me is if it was in a predestined soulmate trope which was then subverted

like idk there’s a black wing subject who shows them different realities and in quite a lot of them assistent is Dirk’s boyfriend and holistic partner in crime

and Dirk is like “…him?” and thinks briefly of having to come to terms with the idea he’s supposed to be in a RELATIONSHIP with this guy who just sat back and watched him be tortured but it takes him 0.5 seconds to actually go “no. no thank you.”
