Splatoon OC time!! This is Sasha, aka Sashimi, basically an OC of my player character (so they're kind of a splatsona, based on me, but also their own character separate from me in some ways.)
They moved to the splatlands from Inkopolis, liking the rough and tumble culture more than the city life. This is what led them into turf wars, working at grizz co, and gaining a lot more confidence in themselves. They're a bit of a lone wolf, but has made lots of connections and had lots of fun!

They got their scar soon after coming to the splatlands, when they participated in a Big Run. Luckily, their eye was uninjured. (I don't have an irl scar but I did almost lose an eye once, so I'm including it because scars are cool)
They were Team Future in the final splatfest, as they loved all the possibilities of the future and in having things to look forward to.
They're a MASSIVE Deep Cut fan as well, which influenced their choice for Grandfest.
Their Favourite Deep Cut songs are Hide and Sleek, Til Depth Do Us Part, Anarchy Rainbow, and Daybreaker Anthem.
They're really into Tableturf too, both collecting the cards and playing the game. One of their titles was "Inkslinging Card Collector."
Generally they're positive, optimistic, funny, a bit quippy, stubborn, and tends to get frustrated more easily. They're also an angry crier, not crying when they're sad most of the time.
Favourite Weapons; Bloblobber, Custom Splattershot Jr., N-ZAP '89, Neo Splash-o-matic, Heavy Edit Splatling, and the Splatana Stamper. They tend to prefer support weapons rather than being a front-liner. (More of a supporter or anchor, in competitive terms.)
Favourite Brands: Annaki, Toni Kensa, Rockenburg, and Z+F.
They're also a MASSIVE fan of the Z+F mascot ZedFry, wearing the ZedFry hat all the time.
Favourite Foods: Ramen, Somen, Crab, Shrimp Tempura, Bread, and Milk Chocolate. They love just about anything sweet, or fried, as a general rule.
They were hesitant to work at GrizzCo at first, but after the first Big Run they came around to it.
Born in September, making them both a Virgo and a Sapphire birth stone.
Natural eye colour was grey, which they didn't mind, but changed it to purple once they got their shapeshifting under control.
This OC is in a quantum super position of both being Neo Agent 3 and being a normal civillian. Most of the time I think of them as a random inkling, but sometimes they're agent 3. Perks of being based on the player character lol

I was a bit more ambitious today, but I like the end result! It’s not perfect by any means, but I’m happy enough with it.
I was inspired by those old religious paintings depicting kings or saints, especially with the crown itself since it was roughly based on some historical crowns that kings wore. I wanted it to invoke both kings and saints since Optimus is kind of both of those things - chosen leader of Cybertron and the matrix being gifted to him to bestow that feeling a lot like Arthurian legend of Excalibur, but also a saint who sacrificed himself for others. I like Optimus Prime a lot, I think you can tell lol
Also, the cape is referencing the cybertronian alliance pages that show Optimus and Megatron in capes, since I think that was cool and lends itself to the kind of royal imagery I was going for :-)

It was kind of cheating since it wasn’t in one month and it wasn’t October, but I enjoyed it a lot! It’s why I’m gonna try to use the same approach I did before to this year’s inktober, since I found it helped a lot when I was in a creative rut.
This will have to be multiple posts due to tumblr’s photo limit, so this is part one.

I love TFA and it's art style, but i hate trying to draw their designs sometimes. It's just so different from how I usually draw. I get better every time i do it but its a fight.
Meet my darling oc whom I love - Stella, a Zombie Girl!
Stella has semi-recently become a zombie and is trying her best all the time. She's positive and caring but also is very introverted and passive, and has a hard time getting out there or standing up for herself when she's struggling or unhappy. In her story though, she finds those things and is able to make a life for herself even if she can't live a normal human life.
I had this idea for a comic with her that I haven't made and not sure I'll ever make. It's called "My Zombie Life", and here's the basics:
Basically, society had mostly stayed intact or rebuilt from the Zombie apocalypse. A new drug was developed which gave zombies their sentience/mind back, so as long as they have a healthy diet of animal brains and their meds then they'll stay normal people. Well... normal with a few quirks. They're zombies after all.
Stella here is someone who was impacted really hard from becoming a zombie, unable to get a job and a bit of a recluse after being in quarantine for so long. The story would follow her trying to find friends and connections, as well as dealing with various zombie things like having to eat brains.
....Also it was a story where Stella being a zombie was partially a metaphor for being disabled with long covid and chronic fatigue - basically it's meant to be a story about my own disability struggles. Not sure it'll ever happen, but Stella's character is very close to my heart because of that.
Huh, I never realized how much Stella has changed in my own mind over time. This sounds similar but not at all the same as Stella’s character or story now… interesting I guess lol
I love Stella so much though, I really need to draw her again.
