I was just thinking about what I would do if I were a vampire and it all pretty much comes down to my desire to impersonate a ghost but still be alive

-wander dense forests by moonlight, softly singing mournful songs in long dead languages

-explore deep sea ship wrecks and maybe hang around until I can get caught in the corner of some poorly lit video from a submarine

-quietly inhabit gorgeous but decaying mansions and lighthouses, occasionally lighting candles to barely brighten the highest window

-be spotted mysteriously wandering through snowy passes atop mountains, dressed far too lightly, and in a style not of our time

I would not rest until I was an urban legend in all 50 states and then I'd get cracking on the rest of the world

Just imagine Edward having to go literally anywhere in public with Esme and being absolutely suicidal over everyone thinking about how hot his mom is and he's like "Hey Esme, will you do the thing?" And she's like "Oh, sure sweetie, no problem," and imagines music for him so he can listen to that instead of everyone else. She occasionally chimes in with her own thoughts like a daytime radio host to tell him random things that the music reminds her of like "This one always reminds me of Rosalie and Emmet's third wedding! Oh, that was the best one yet... Anyway here's 'Wonderwall,'"
