My attacks for Artfight 2026. I really wanted to do more attacks but July was unexpectedly busier than I hope 😞 Until next year everyone, thank you to anyone who attacked me this year
I have been rotating my warriors rewrite in my head for... weeks now. It's been a massive work in progress for literal years but talking with friends has gotten me invested in working on it again so... here we go...
I started with pulling apart the ThunderClan family tree, trying to clear up some bloodlines, and also give agency and interest to some of the characters. I started with Into the Wild as the basis and building on that, rather than the prequels, as I kind of consider the first arc the basis of what my rewrite is built on?
Also everyone will be genetically accurate because I am, in fact, autistic about cat genetics...
I have a suuuuuper intimidating rough draft of the breakdown/adjusted ThunderClan family tree but I wanna start smaller with what I share so!!!
Stormtail - Sleek, dark gray tom with sharp orange eyes
Bluestar - Solid blue-gray molly with pale green eyes
Snowfur -> Smoketuft - Stocky and fluffy gray smoke molly with pale green eyes
Lore yapping below the cut...
Genetics + Names
Both Moonflower and Snowfur got name changes! Moon was because I prefer the concept of "moon" only being used in naming under very special circumstances. And Snow is because her appearance changed so drastically when I changed her genetics, but I kept the concept of her being named after her fur
Bluestar and Stormtail were pretty easy to keep as canon, and I liked the idea of Blue looking like her dad just more... blue...
Softblossom I kept fairly accurate to canon as well, but I made her a classic tabby because I always saw her as very soft, so I thought the more swirly looking marks would add to that soft apperance
Smoketuft... Is not at all like canon LMAO. So I know that there are lots of ways you can interpret her design into a genetically accurate way that stays fairly true to her book description. However, I got reallyyyy into the idea of her looking like her mom, as a sort of parallel to Blue looking like their dad. So! Gray and silver she became.
Lore Thoughts
Where do I even begin... I'm still debating a lot of Stormtail's and Softblossom's whole... relationship and falling out. I am not entirely sure how I want to handle it exactly? So I kinda just set it to the side for now..
When they were kits and apprentices, Blue was more of the strict rule follower and serious one, while Smoke was the rebellious trouble maker. They butted heads a lot because of this.
I think the idea of Blue also losing her dad contributing to her mounting grief would be fun... Especially because I am also toying around with the idea of her really looking up to her father, wanting to be a strong warrior like him and dedicated to trying to make him proud.
Current Bluestar (as of the start of Into the Wild) is a very refined and serious leader. She keeps her feelings and emotions carefully hidden behind the mask she has built over the years in order to protect herself. Many cats in ThunderClan look up to and respect her, and she cares very deeply for her clanmates. She wants what is best for her Clan and wants to ensure the cats under her care are well taken care of. She has a rather bad habit of not confiding in others, even those that she really should be talking with (ie her deputy...)
All of this is definitely subject to change as I work more on solidifying stuff but here are my current brainworms... I would love to yap more about the thoughts in my noggin...

“You could have done so much more if you only had time” 🐭🎭
If I remember correctly, I think Ale is the only surviving npc from a character’s backstory?? I also like to think that her and Carlos were on good terms but struggled to keep in contact. Kinda sad that Ale wasn’t Carlos’ last thoughts also think that Vulpin and the church has influenced him too much.
Apart from the tea party scene in episode 3, the whole flashback and fall out scene was my favourite. It blew my mind when all of the characters and their stories were tied together in some way. Beautiful story telling as always.
“I held you when you were a baby” - Cheeky to Carlos, probably.
Okok so basically there’s big age gap between Cheeky and Carlos because during the flashback scene, Carlos often getting called “young Carlos” and Cheeky was already an elder. And with Cheeky being part of the Mobgoblins, I’m guessing, for most of his life and Carlos was raised by a Mobgoblin family that was already well known. I think Cheeky would swing by the Huispas to greet the newest member, the recently adopted Carlos.
Also sorry for the messy sketch, I’m working on something else but this wouldn’t leave my brain.
