I went to see Carrie live on a Fourth of July show a few years ago she sang Jesus take the wheel and segued into this song. It was one of the most seamless transitions I’ve ever heard. She is a beautiful woman with a more beautiful voice. The following year I spent the Fourth of July in an inpatient physical rehab clinic. When I was released I was given the choice of a song to be played over the intercom on that hospital floor.This is the song I chose.

I remember my wife telling me that we were expecting. I was so excited. After I learned we were having twins I was speechless. When fatherhood gets difficult this song reminds me of how excited I was before they arrived. Parenthood is difficult. But sooo worth it.
