scattered thoughts of anxiety

I'm not sure if I'm an anomaly, or if everyone like me is just like me, hidden. I love women. That in itself is not unusual, it's usual, but I don't long for physical embrace, I just want conversation. I want to discover her mind while revealing my own. I want to be interested in a person and share myself with them. I want to be treated as a human. My flatmates are nice people, I think. I wouldn't know because I've never said more than a sentence to any of them, they terrify me. I wait till midnight to eat because that's when the kitchen is empty and I don't have to stand in a room around a person who says nothing to me. How can I drown out my anxiety in a silent room? Maybe they're scared too, maybe that's why don't talk to me, or they think I'm weird. What goes through their head when we stand separated in silence? Do they hate me? How could they. I don't understand. Have they made no attempt to talk to me because I have towering walls around me that I'm unaware of? Is it my fault? I just want a friend. That's a lie. If all I wanted, was a friend, I'd have plenty. I want something that I can't ask for. I want a friend that I'd fall in love with but I can't fall in love with them. I tell myself that's all I want, as though wanting something like that is perfectly fine. I want to share my life with someone and have them share their life with me. How ridiculous is that? I want the love of my life but I don't want to date her because I'm not ready. I'm not in any kind of state to have a person reliant on me in any form other than emotion. That I can do. Everything else, I can't. Isn't that backwards? I thought I was meant to be emotionally closed off and open everywhere else, but my emotions are the only part of me that I'm comfortable with. I don't know what direction I'm supposed to walk in. I don't want to be alone anymore. I don't want to emulate conversations in my head because there's no one to listen to what I have to say except for me. Maybe there is and I'm just blind to it. I honestly don't know what's going on anymore.

Everything seems stale.
