Something that bothers me a lil is how certain Madatowa fans (saying this as someone who LOVES Madatowa) try to reframe the relationship to be healthier than it actually is. Madarame did abuse Towa and his reason for "bringing him back" was not selfless. I agree that there's more to say about Madarame than just "abuser" but that still is a part of him that we can't just cast aside. If anything Madatowa's dynamic being way more outwardly abusive compared to any other LI is one of the things that makes them unique. They're fucked up! That's why they're interesting!
