In another note. Yor finds strength Loid finds weakness. Difference is that Yor fights for family and has been doing it since young while Loid, who grew up alone and had to be perfect, finds it a weakness. The Poor man can't FATHOM the thought of family as his strength because he isn't be able to understand it and SEES it as a weakness. Poor Twilight TT_TT

The contrast between Loid/Twilight and Yor again is that Yor acknowledges that she’s not perfect and yet we as readers know she’s strong enough to survive. She’s done it as a child raising Yuri, and she’ll strive again with Loid, Anya and Bond. Whether she can survive or not is not something Yor struggles with.

Twilight expects himself to be perfect and in some ways he’s right that it almost cost him the op with Wheeler.

But we see Nightfall pursuing Twilight fervently.

Sylvia/Handler having a fondness for Anya because she reminds Sylvia of the daughter she lost. She always holds Twilight accountable for Anya’s happiness and care.

Franky never losing hope of finding true love in the midst of this Cold War.

Maybe for Twilight to finally, unabashedly, have space in his heart for Yor, Anya, Bond and even Yuri, he has to accept he may not be Westalis’ No. 1 Spy anymore. But he can still be great, he can still survive; what he fights for is still peace and it’s not all on him to achieve it.

I’ve been reading fan theories pulling together the different strings of Desmond, Garden, Project Apple, Harpoon (instigator of the events of the cruise arc) and even Red Circus’ involvement in the larger narrative and if they all manifest in one way or another…the story is never meant to be about Twilight/WISE triumphing alone. They’re all intertwined in this fierce Cold War and Twilight’s mission is to expose Desmond’s plans and uncover all these truths. He needs to rely on others more than he knows.
