You think I can’t? Watch me.

It wasn’t his goal to let Sinbad also feel uncomfortable. Ja'far just wanted to know why Sharrkan told him something like that and where the rumor came from. And at the moment he was quite sure that the other general just wanted to tease him or something like that. Great. If he meant it would to anything good he should go ahead and make him quite angry.
But for now he just felt childish and like an idiot for asking such a silly thing. Of course Sinbad wouldn’t leave with Judal. But after the dream he had just a few hours ago the words of the exiled prince seemed to make sense and appeared as a bad sign. Ja'far stopped in his movement and tensed up a little bit before touching his temple with one hand.
„I had a terrible night. I’m sorry for bothering you with something like that.“ With a small sigh, Ja'far turned his head a little bit to be able to look over his shoulder. A smile flashed over his face and a quiet „I know that“ fell off his lips.
He really didn’t look too well and soon SInbad began to worry about him - really. It was unlike his advisor to take think to heart lightly and as it seemed he had gained some kind of information that shook him enough to feel this insecure about him. It wasn’t a sight Sinbad was used to, much less appreciated it. It was rather disturbing.
The king exhaled slowly, taking in Ja’far’s words. He felt himself relax a little, even if it was just marginally. Another step forward and he was standing beside him.
“Would you mind joining me on a walk through the gardens? Tell me about your night”, he asked quietly and let his hand drop. There was no need to be sorry about anything; Sinbad sensed that he was needed and he planned on fullfilling his duty towards his friend.
“You are ridiculously comfortable.” | Sin.
Blushing, he contorted his face. “I am?”, he asked a bit overwhelmed. Was he just teasing him?
Ja’far looked at the older one in confusion. “For what reason? Cuddling time?”, he asked a bit ironically.
“I don’t think, it will work.” Lost in thought, he didn’t even realize he was running his fingers through the dark strands. “There would just be twice as much work as today if both of us take a day off”, he whispered a bit drowsy. And he liked their togetherness anyway.
“Yes, exactly.” Did he really have to explain more? Ja’far was far to comfortable to let go of him so easily.
Low humming welled up his throat. “I can do the math, I just don’t want to leave; cuddling time is just fine.” Lazily, he propped himself up onto his elbows, crossing the distance between their faces in an attempt to brush over Ja’far’s lips with his own. “Are there other ways of convincing you?”
Blurry memories
“Judal,” he hushed, softer now. He noticed the turmoil, even if he couldn’t really see the rukh like the magi did. He could still sense it, feel the troubles as they threatened to take over.
“Judal… Judal…” With a soft hum he acknowledged the moment the magi finally broke down. With a tender touch he let his fingers wrap around the shaking hands, lightly tugging the younger closer until he could slowly wrap his arms around him. Another soft hum, and Sinbad rubbed the back of the magi’s head soothingly, allowing him to break down in tears as he subtly attempted to manipulate the flow and the restlessness of the rukh around Judal. It was not a technique he had perfected, and never tried in front of a magi, but if there was a ‘right moment’ to try, this was it. Because there was too much distress, fear and uncertainty palpable in the air around the young man.
“It’ll be alright, Judal…”
Judal acutally didn't want to expose himself like that. Being cheesed with himself, he screwed up his eyes and pursed his lips. He just didn't want to! Turning out weak like that... it just pissed him off. Getting pulled closer, the magi whimpered quietly – another reason to grunt.
„That's not fair“, he grumbled before slowly clinging to Sin's clothes. Grabbing the fabric, Judal allowed himself to bury his face on the king's shoulder. If he could just remember - But for now this man was the only person he could rely on. He was trying not to break down but couldn't refrain the tears from seeping into the cloth of Sinbad's shawl. And there was the next wail falling from his lips... Damn it.
Chewing at his lip, Judal slowly recognized the manipulation. He winced for a second but instead of pulling back he just looked up in confusion. Blinking, he stared into the older one's eyes before knitting his brows. Who exactly was this person? And suddenly another stomach grumbling broke the short moment of silence. Judal grimaced sulky, brushing some tears away. „I'm hungry...“

Blurry memories
“Judal-” Sinbad quickly stood, following one step after the magi before halting abruptly. No, following like that was a terrible idea if he was starting to panic again. Damnit.
“Judal, please don’t get upset,” he pleaded helplessly, spreading his hands in an disarming gesture. “I’m not lying. You are not my enemy, Judal. If you were, I wouldn’t put you here in a good room, I’d lock you up in my dungeons with numerous magic wards to keep you from doing any damage. Yes, you worked with people who are my enemy, but you… You are different, Judal. You were used by them, shaped into a tool for their purposes. I don’t want to return you there and see you be made into a weapon to destroy everything bright in this world again, you deserve a chance to live in the light yourself.”
He took a careful step forward now, reaching out for the magi. “Please Judal, please listen to me. I wish no harm on you. All I want is to nurse you back to health and give you a new chance. I’ll assist you in getting back your memories, but I hope I can teach you the things you’ve been missing out on at the same time.”
Weapon!? The headache was back. Taking another step back, Judal nearly mauled his lip before looking away. Tensing up a bit, the black rukh seemed to spread. Nonetheless he tried to listen. There was no other chance. What should he do without even knowing where he came from?
He saw the hand reaching out for him from the corner of his eye. Judal hesitated for a moment. But then he tried to swallow the bitter feeling and the darkness was calming down – even a bit at least.
The next instant, he looked at Sinbad again... Tears were flooding his eyes. He appeared like a hurt and very insecure child that was afraid of trusting anyone. Red eyes met golden ones and a bit faltering he reached out for Sinbad’s hand. Judal wasn't able to speak, so he just nodded barely notable and mumbled a soundless „Alright“. Only now he realized his own shaking hands and dropped the gaze to hide the upcoming tears.

Blurry memories
It was a relief to see Judal sit down obediently, and Sinbad grabbed a chair in order to sit opposite of the magi. He grabbed the young man’s hands, pulling them between them to make sure the other was constantly reassured of his presence. Either Judal would pull away - something he might’ve done before - or leave them there, and that would bring Sinbad one step closer again to understanding this memory ridden person in front of him.
“I’m sorry for forcing you to sleep like that, I just wanted you to heal as fast and painlessly as possible. But yes, there is a protective barrier around this country. You’re safe here, so far only magis have managed to break through that barrier, and even then we know. No magi currently has a reason to break in here though, so it’ll be fine.” He rubbed the pads of his thumbs over the backs of Judal’s hands soothingly, offering him a small smile. “We’ll find out how you got here, okay? We’ll find out what happened to you to bring you here in this state, and unnoticed.”
His glances followed Sinbad’s movements in a still mistrustful manner. He felt… lost. There was so much he didn’t understand and his memories seemed to come back very sluggishly. The memory of himself breaking through this barrier more than once occupied his thoughts and when Sin touched his hands, the magi startled. His fingers twitched but he didn’t pull them back. Instead of rejecting the closeness, Judal looked at him helplessly confused. So far only magis have managed to break through that barrier. His eyes widened in confusion. Reflexively he stripped at least one of his hands out of the king’s grip just to touch his aching head.
„I am a magi“, he mumbled quietly and the realization seemed to seep in very slowly. He knit his brows. „And… I had a reason to break through back then, right?“ The magi felt totally puzzled and stranded. Judal’s gaze dropped when he clenched up his fingers between Sin’s hands. „Am I… your enemy?“, he suddenly asked strainedly before slowly looking up again. It pissed him off to feel that way and his feelings loomed up in his face: instability, fear, rage and something like the request for help.
Sinbad hesitated, both of his hand on the one of Judal he was still holding to continue the soothing motions of his thumbs. “Y-yes… Yes you are a magi, and you broke through the barrier before… But I wouldn’t call you my enemy. You used to work for my enemies, but you never gave me the impression you did it because you really agreed with them. I got the feeling you did that because you didn’t know any better, or because you were bored, perhaps. I have seen you as a danger, but never as an enemy.”
He was stretching the truth a little, but it was necessary. There was no way he had not seen Judal as an enemy after all he had done, but time and time again he got back to reconsider. His need to help this poor sod had always won over his feelings of spite towards him.
Judal was unable to cope with all the information he got and for a moment he stared at Sinbad with a kind of tensed up and upset facial expression. Grinding his teeth, he tried to divest Sin of his hand. „You are lying“, he said gritty, narrowing his eyes. He was able to see it. He could see through his words, read between the lines. „What have I done?!“ Pulling back, Judal got back on his feet, seemingly withdrawing. Taking some steps backwards, he looked the king over. „You didn't want me to get in here, right? So why is it you of all people I remember? I don't even know what enemies you're talking about! Were do I belong?“ Outraged, the magi didn't even notice the gathering of dark rukh surrounding him. It wasn't like he was really mad at Sinbad – it was just the confusion and insecurity driving him crazy. Judal bit his lip. He really felt like crying but didn't want to expose himself even more.

kougyokurenprincess:
“But… But I do not want you to feel uncomfortable or angry because of me!” Although the oracle had said he was not angry, she did believe that. That tired or angry expression on his face should be for several reasons, right? “I’m not strange, but you do! If you were not angry, you would not be with a frown!“ She exclaimed, pointing frowning of the boy with her index finger.
Judal sighed seemingly annoyed. „You're getting on my nerves with your shakiness and insecurity. That's all. Stop asking stupid questions. I won't answer them again.“ The magi rubbed the crook of his neck, looking at Kougyoku in a pouting manner. But then his facial expression changed. With a sudden grin he flicked against her forehead with two fingers.
„If you worry all the time you'll get wrinkles, old hag.“ The black-haired man let his hand drop and turned around. He didn't want to discuss this subject anymore – and he was none the wiser because he still didn't understand her answer. Hm... „I'm hungry. Want to come along?“
Just ordinary... not [Closed]
miles-xanthous:
“What are you my parent?“ He snarled, but wouldn’t linger much to such thought. Moments like these he were glad he lived with his mother and an only child– well maybe a few exceptions.
If he had to put up with more he’d probably go insane and follow in Judal’s tow.
“If you only knew how many tried yet nothing….“ A sigh, “You make it sound so easy.“ still if by chance this punk would manage it then Alibaba would cut him some slack.
“Well,….. see ya later.“
Judal chuckled. „Yeah, of course. Do I look like I'd be interested in being the parent of a crybaby like you? Honestly...“ Closing his eyes, he pushed off the wall and stepped to the window. „We'll see. You just need connections“, he mumbled and yawned before taking another look at his watch. „Another 3 minutes~“, he teased. This guy was really a handful. Why did he even try to talk to him.
„Do one!“ With that he let him go.
Two school periods later they had gym class together. In the meanwhile, they managed not to run into each other on the schoolyard. The black-haired teenager stepped into the changing room after departing from some friends. Throwing down his gym back, he looked around a bit sceptically.
"Judal~ There's a ship landing at out harbor in half an hour - carrying a couple of barrels of peaches. Would you like to join me in welcoming them~?"
Blinking, the magi looked up from the mess on his desk. Ja’far has made him stay and work until dinner. Judal was up on his feet immediately. His king’s offer outweighed the advisor’s order, right? “Welcome the peaches?”, he asked with a smirk on his face. “I’m in~”
The grin came to his lips instantly. “I figured you would”, be admitted and waited for the magi to join him at the door. “We should work on a plan to cultivate them around here, so we wouldn’t need to import them.”
Sinbad was content, walking the corridors of the palace beside Judal. It has been a long way to get here, but it had been worth it. “How were you doing with your paperwork? You weren’t exactly looking concentrated~”
Escaped from yesterday
saharxsin:
Still watching over him with both disbelief and slight apprehension, Sinbad kept his hands on the magi for the next few minutes until his words rang in the king’s ears. Had he really heard him correctly? Could this brat seriously have taken her out only moments–or perhaps hours–ago? It was unfathomable, and Sinbad had a difficult trying to imagine the woman bloodied thanks to this kid, but stranger things had happened in this unfortunate world. Letting his hands fall from Judal, he took only a step back from him in order to truly look at him. Eyes that watched the waves now tried to see into his soul.
“She fell by your magic?”
He asked the question slowly, making sure if he had heard this properly and if it were indeed true. Sooner or later someone else would hurry to his quarters in order to drop the news and probably find the magi there. If this was treason crafted by Judal, then they would likely wonder if he came here for refuge. And if that were the case…then what would Sinbad do? Would he harbor a fugitive magi of Kou or would he turn him away?
The latter option was never in his cards; no matter how much he tried to turn the fallen magi away, he could not. They were tied by fate, and no matter how much either of them tried to fight it, they would always be inextricably linked and brought back together. Fate pulled the string taut and they fell into step by one another again.
“I don’t have to get anyone to heal you, but you are bleeding all over my floor and wall.”
Judal felt the disbelieving gaze on his face and let out an unhappy sound. „You don't believe me? Go and find out yourself“, he mumbled a bit weakly. Did he think he had hurt himself or something? Why would he come here of all places if he had fought another enemy? That wouldn't be realistic, right? Judal's eyesight got blurry all of a sudden and he felt his body shaking again. Damn it. Maybe he had overdone it for sure. Flying the whole way to Sindria just to escape the empire's men wasn't quite the best idea. Judal closed his eyes. Of course she had fallen by his magic. What else?
„I guess, they will chase me... ...There's no place to hide anymore, right?“, he asked abruptly in a helpless manner, opening his eyes again.
The magi tried to support himself with one hand and left a trail of blood on the wall. Biting his lip, he tensed up. Maybe he was really in need of help – in more than one aspect. „Help me...“ It wasn't more than a voiceless request but with vigorous effect on his own pride and guard that he was letting down completely.
misbehavingmagi:
He never imagined I’d be that nice to have himself touching him. Point taken, the situation was as hilarious as it was irritating and… had the potential of turning out pretty heated.
The other’s command let him smirk into the kiss and made him sink his teeth into the other’s lower lip the next second. His whole body was pressing him against the wall now, leaving no inch of air between them. Judal’s tongue was next to make his way between his counterpart’s lips; he wanted to know whether he was tasting like peaches as well.
'Heated' was the right heading – he didn't even know how that had happened but it felt right somehow. How could it be even wrong? It was his other self at least.
Judal let his counterpart take the lead willingly and moaned quietly when his teeth sank deeper into his own lip. His hands wandered down and stroked over the other one's warm skin. Fingertips touched the fabric of his trousers before stroking along it's seam. Shamelessly, his fingers dug under the fabric, holding him close to his own body before he closed his eyes halfway. Smirking into the kiss, he tipped his head to intensify the kiss. Tasting his tongue, he let out an approving sound.
kougyokurenprincess:
“I–I’m not trembling, but why you would be uncomfortable, Judal-chan?” She had sweaty palms of the hands from nervousness, but when she heard the words of the Magi, a slight smile curved her lips. “You really do not bother you that I have this kind of feelings for you? You seem angry or bother...”
This girl was so complicated sometimes. She really cared too much about him and his opinion. The magi scratched his head. „You are. Your whole body is shaking and your fingers are sweaty“, he meant nonchalantly without changing his facial expression. „Geez, stop thinking about it, would you?“ Judal looked away again, still unable to cope with her reaction. But he had to ask that stupid question, right? Sometimes he should think before babbling.
„I'm not angry. You are just strange! Feeling that nervous because of something trivial like that...“
Blurry memories
sinnerinsindria:
“No there isn’t, that’s why I was checking.” Vague questions would get vague answers, and Sinbad reached out to lightly touch Judal’s face, as if checking if he was actually real. “Hmm, so you do remember that much? That’s a good thing, knowing that your memory is at last working. I made you sleep for several days, yes. You got a lot better during that time, you wouldn’t have healed this fast if I hadn’t. Much more pain as well.”
He ushered Judal back to the bed, trying to make him sit down on it again. Sinbad regretted the fact that he didn’t bring the magi any food, but he could take him to the kitchens later.
“I found you in the gardens right outside the palace. You were just keeling over as I came around the corner, so I suspect you hadn’t been there for very long. How you got in the garden undetected is the usual mystery my magician would love to find out.”
Judal was a bit overwhelmed with the almost familiar touches on his face but somehow it didn't feel wrong and if he thought about it... he even liked it somehow. It seemed there was someone caring about him. Someone he seemed to have a past and story with. It was just a suggestion, but the magi was sure he liked this person... kinda... sort of... whatever. Why should he remember him of all people if he didn't? It didn't feel like he hated him at least. Judal wasn't sure if his confusing thoughts made any sense but when Sinbad began to explain, he looked up at him again.
„Yeah, it does and I'm not happy about getting lulled to sleep“, he still pouted. Nonetheless, he followed Sins indirect orders and sat down again. As if he had read the king's thoughts, his stomach started rumbling. Great. Slowly some shreds of his memory seemed to recompose. Right, he was king of Sindria and...
„The barrier“, he suddenly mumbled. „There was a barrier, right? I couln't get through it without you people noticing in the past but-“ Judal stopped. They had tried to avoid him getting in back then. Why? Were they enemies or something? His face spoke volumes. „I got in without alarming someone?“, he asked a bit confused. There were so many questions and a lot of things he didn't understand.
