Rox sat in Diasomnia's lounge, very clearly completely relaxed, and reading a shitty tabloid. 'HIDDEN LIVES: FACTS ABOUT THE DRACONIA FAMILY'S LIFESTYLE THAT WILL SHOCK YOU', it read. Somehow, despite quite literally reading about him, they didn't seem to notice Malficio's looming presence.
The two hadn't met yet. Not properly, anyways. Which was surprising considering they had been in the same school, in the same dorm for the last few years.
It's not like Malficio hadn't seen or noticed them. He had definitely seen them around. They just almost always seemed to disappear the moment he even thought about talking to 'em.

â You know, if you're curious about me you could just question me directly. â
It seems Malficio was known for appearing out of nowhere now, for the amount of times he manifested out of quite literally nothingâ was more times than you could count on your fingers. He heeded the warnings of his father, read people, been a housewarden who communicated and connected with people. It was how Malficio had such a good connection with students, and he valued that.
Apparently not with this student, who avoided him like a deadly plague yet showed explicit interest in him. It wasn't a mix Malficio was used to, but by any means, not against.
This was surely the troubled student archetype!
He could fix that.
âNow how about that? You, me, any questions you desire you spew.â
"Huh.." Rox hummed almost dismissively, eyes slinking up from their magazine and up to....THE MALFICIO DRACONIA???
They gasped dramatically and then promptly jumped back in surprise, causing them to...fall off of the couch they were sitting on.
"WUH-I-HUH-" They scrambled to get up from the floor, face getting increasingly flushed. From embarrassment or...something else yet to be determined, perhaps?
"OH MY-uhm.ay, boss.." Rox greeted, clearly trying to play it cool. They didn't seem scared, despite their...erratic behaviour. They seemed awe-struck, if anything.
They stewed in the awkward silence, thinking of something to say in response.
"I..heh...what would make ya think I needed any questions answered..?"
Rox side eyed the magazine, which had fallen to the floor. They tried to 'discreetly' kick it underneath the lounge.
