“Mothman Above”, a piece I finished today! I’ve always been a big fan of cryptids ever since I was a little kid (Especially the Loch Ness monster, I even dressed up as it in 2nd grade lol), and Mothman’s another fav of mine! A few friends and I even made a short film about him for a class assignment back in high school. I usually do lined stuff so I went out of my comfort zone for a full painted look this time and im in love with how it turned out!! I’ve been getting back into cryptids lately so expect more art of em soon! You’re next, Nessie! ❤️

I’ve been so busy recently I haven’t had much time to draw, but I finally finished this guy!! I’m developing his story rn so expect more things with him and his family. His lore if anyone cares: He’s a sand/sky hybrid named Sandstone whose parents, Brimstone and Emu, had gotten together before the war of sandwing succession, when the war happened his father (skywing) fought for Burn and tried to convince Sandstone’s mother to join Burn’s side, but she was staunchly on Blaze’s side and so fought with most of the sandwings and icewings. This difference caused his parents to split up, and due to his mostly sandwing appearance he lived with his mother in the Sand kingdom. Since they lived in Blaze’s towns and frequently traveled due to his mother’s war obligations, they had to keep his skywing lineage a secret since they were war enemies with them, as well as keeping him away from Burn’s weirdling tower. Since he’s a hybrid, he wasn’t fully built for desert life and didn’t really like having to live there. Sandstone learned to be tough from a young age and fend for himself against other sandwings. He has a tail barb, but it’s not venomous like other sandwings’ are, so he keeps that a secret and tries to be intimidating so he won’t get into fights. After the war ended, he left the Sand kingdom to go live in Possibility, and was one of its original founders. He is currently living there, and is trying to find out if his father is still alive and if he can reunite with him, as he never really knew him before the split.

Finally finished the winner of the poll: Princess Luna! She eviscerated everyone else on every platform I posted the poll on 😭 I ain’t mad tho cause she’s my fav 💖 I’m super happy with how this one turned out, even though figuring out how the hair would look was a challenge. I’ll be finishing the rest of the poll sketches as well in order of how many votes they got! (no spoilers but expect a noodle boi soon 🐉)
