Scary Papyrus jump scare. I just played through all of FND and felt compelled to put US!Asriel on the chopping block. I lowkey didn’t even know he got swapped with monster kid till I drew this. Donno how I missed that for 10 years XD

I’m currently working on a sketchy draft of the aborted geno route at Papyrus. I don’t have any images with me just yet, but here’s another cardboard doodle till I’m finished with the other.

Thinking about my old UTAU idea again, what if it’s more centered around Papyrus and him getting the Human to stop their geno run? Then they tell Papyrus how they can reset time and that they can bring back all the monsters they took out. But Sans be like- reset bad. This and that. I donno. I’ll think on it more.

Erasure

【A fan made fusion of Ink!sans, Error!sans and Reaper!sans】

I actually made this fusion back in March of 2024, but I just started using tumblr for the first time in years. This is all new territory to me so I appreciate your patience! <3

A lot of what is coming up next is copy/paste from a different platform because I have it all written out from there. Apologies in advance for any confusion. I put a lot of effort into this guy when I did make them so there’s practically an essay down here!

Character details explained

Alright, this is about to get DEEP so if you don’t read everything I very much so understand.

Basic information:

Name • Erasure

Pronouns • It/They

Background • The physical manifestation and embodiment of the concept of nonexistent. One touch from it or its weapon will wipe any living being from their respective timeline and universe. As if they never existed to begin with.

Physical Weapon(s) • Large scythe with an ink hilt allowing it to shift and change to any length, width or shape. Most commonly used variants of ink are a straight or curved handle for close combat and a chain with a weight for longer range.

Magic / Magic Weapon(s) • Ink based attacks including blasters and bone patterns. Blue attacks and blue soul manipulation. Strings can only be used on self for cosmetic and representational purposes.

Character explanation:

The characterization of nonexistent. The reason I picked this was, because all three of the monsters that make up this being have one shared trait that stands out the most to me. They are not above killing… or so being the cause of death. Let’s start simple. Reaper!Sans. He’s the grim reaper, the one who helps pass on the ones capable of an afterlife. His entire purpose is to kill in the name of the circle of life. Secondly, Error!Sans. This man has made it his life’s goal to eradicate the multiverse. Be it one universe or one timeline at a time. He has an everlasting objective to destroy them all. Hence killing an uncountable number of humans, monsters, and everything in between. Lastly, Ink!Sans. Following the cannon events of Underverse, a fan animated series, if it means a greater good he would sacrifice it all. (Heavy UV spoilers ahead) During a climatic moment Error reveals that he has taken the doodle-sphere (the multiverse) hostage. With only a simple tug of one string, he could obliterate it all. And what does Ink do in response? Nothing. Absolutely nothing to stop him. Due to the fact that he is under the pretense X!Gaster will use his override ability, he does not see that the eradication of the multiverse for even a short time as an issue. He let’s them all die. Showing that if given the right circumstances he would not do everything in his power to prevent their demise. He is not above being the reason that countless would perish if it was for the greater good. Regardless if it would be undone. Which brings me to the conclusion. If the power of three seemingly incalculable strengths come together, all which believe killing is necessary in their corresponding circumstances, what is the only thing more punishing than death? Never being alive to begin with.

Character design break down:

This is just how each character is represented in the presentation of Erasure as a whole. Error and Reaper are very present from a quick glance, but there is a lot of Ink showing as well.

Reaper • The clothing and weapon was all based around his design alone. Other than the hood/cape thing going on all of the outer most features and aesthetic are just him showing in a dominant trait type mater. With that being said, he got the least amount of smaller details.

Error • Starting with the big ones: the strings/stitches and bone coloration. The stitches on the clothing are a hat tip to Error’s “hobo” outfit. It’s meant to give a rag doll type look while also feeling very re-animated. The over arcing goal was a re-animated grim reaper corpse and I think the strings really pull that into it. The bone color is there because it feels a little flat without some extra variation/contrasting colors. Same goes for the stripes on the blaster head. All just to make it pop a little more. Back to the strings; the ones on the hands are all about presentation and deeper meaning. The two “puppeteering” the lowest set to show that Ink is not in control, Error and Reaper are. Ink is just the conduit, the foundation. Another reason why Error and Reaper are so present in the first glance. Ink is just base. Next is the glitching at the bottom. Just more Error rubbing off, it’s purely cosmetic. Next is the slash on the chest. Error is a version of Geno that glitched into the anti void, so I thought I’d give him a bit of recognition too. It’s based off of where he’s always bleeding, but simplified to just a tear. Lastly is the upper set of eyes. More cosmetic stuff.

Ink • He’s practically everywhere in this. The easiest to see is the scythe/weapons, that’s all Ink there. Also, the reason the blaster lacks a jaw is because Ink lacks a soul. More symbolism!! Next is the whole hood/cape thing. It’s a tidbit to the fact that both Error and Ink wear scarves and a lot AU Sanses have something hanging on their shoulders/neck. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Again with the hands, the lowest pair represents him. They are limp or mimic the ones they’re connected to. They also split from the second pair at the elbow to once more show how Ink has no control. Only his presence accounted for. Moving up to the face there’s two things here. The mouth and the lowest pair of eyes. All the parts representing Ink are on the bottom to reinforce the fact that he’s the foundation. These eyes have X’s in them for two reasons. One being that Ink has oddly shaped eye lights and I wanted to implement them into the character. Two being, these cannot change shape or color, but the X’s are a reference to Ink’s connection to X!Gaster and his presence in the X event. Override deletes timelines if I’m not mistaken, Erasure’s power is similar but for living beings. Lastly the mouth. Another reference to UV, it’s the same face Ink made durning a big fight with Error near the end of the first season. I think it fits better than a toothy grin or a straight face.

Would anyone like to be introduced to Erasure? I’m sure some of their details feel familiar.

In short it’s a fan fusion of Ink, Error, and Reaper Sans. Based upon the three’s similarities. The original post I made for the concept and design explanation was only ever added to a very small community. Therefore only a handful of those people even know about it. Honestly I’m really excited to finally share with more people. I even made a short, one page comic where Ink speaks about them…
