Look say what you will about riverdale. I’m lying you can’t say anything about riverdale. But the women on there were like…… so insane it made me want to jump up and down. Women are NEVER allowed to be as feral with no consequences in media as they were in riverdale. Betty didn’t have a maternal bone in her body and it was just like a normal trait of hers??? Cheryl was downright cruel a lot of the time and she was ALLOWED TO BE. She got nicer but only to the main cast bc they befriended her. Veronica loved illegal business practices and she murdered her dad and she was never even in DANGER of going to prison. I love this show. Let women be people like they are on riverdale…

I think in most fandoms there's maybe one or two absolutely legendary posts (if any) but the riverdale fandom has produced at the very least 20 all-timers ranging from simply deeply iconic ("but you didnt want it archies dad!") to completely vocabulary altering ("we're friends with gay kevin"). my hypothesis for why the riverdale fandom is such an outlier is because being exposed to several seasons of riverdale's heavily stylised dialogue helps you hone the ability to conjure up sentences no person has ever thought of before, while the mere fact of being able to enjoy riverdale's writing style indicates most people who are big fans of the show and therefore involved with online discussions about it possess a natural predisposition towards enjoying seeing regular words in a completely bizarre order. and that's why "hiram is hiram forever" is forever

also the "deleted scenes" on the RVD DVDs are insane. but in the opposite way from how the rest of the show is insane. aside from them cutting entire Veronica monologues, it's like. that's not a "scene", babes, that's a "reaction shot and half a sentence"
