scrubs revival thoughts

pros:

did send me back in a jdox rabbit hole. was better than s9. i do think the characters stayed true to themselves. evil bisexual rep. liked Tosh, Amara and Deshana, they made up for the boys who are a bit meh.

cons:

apart from 1x8 the stakes are really low overall and thats because no patient was at the center of the episodes really. patient/doctor relationships were one of the core elements of scrubs and theyre just Not There. like okay we’re never gonna get another Jill or Mrs Wilk or George but i think the emotional part was a bit lacking… idk. also no Bob and no Janitor (except the last ep) didnt really make it feel like Scrubs. Also Perry not being there for 6 episodes was a bit ridicolous.

omg hi!! not sure which one you've read (i wrote a bunch ahah) but, regardless, this fandom was a safe space and a source of comfort for me for quite some time so you dont have to be sorry :) if it was more active i would probably still talk about those little guys!

thank you so much for the compliments. each time i put something up i've honestly struggled writing both of them, because the source material is a comedy and, even if the characters are well-shaped it's still difficult to make them credible. glad you enjoyed the characterisations <3
