Haven’t seen him. Maybe he went back with Jude.
Is that allowed? Or fair? If someone was going back to help him it should be all of us.
You guys... Cam’s bags got taken out of my room. Have any of you seen him?
The pool at this hotel is pretty sweet. And hey, it’s something to do while Jude is out on dates. What have the rest of you been doing?
If I were Tyson, I would be doing everything I could to be getting back in Jude's good graces
I feel you 100% anon. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Bella being basically nonexistent this past week, I think he would have went home. He should be kissing the ground that man walks on.
I AM in Jude's good graces, thanks. I'm here, we're good, and this is real.
are you ready to be a parent with jude?
Yeah. I'd have to learn but I can do that. She sounds like a really good kid and if Jude raised her then she won't be trouble.
describe your relationship with Jude in one word
Deep.He knows stuff about me that no one else does and we've shared some low points and made it through. And obviously I'm still here for a reason.
who do you think your biggest competition is?
Well everyone is at this point, aren't they?
Sent some anonymous messages to our favorite contestants and our lovely bachelor. Can’t wait to hear back what they have to say.
Yeah thanks for that. I know I fucked up but that’s just a little rude.
I’m so excited for hometowns though! You had a date last week, right? How’d it go?
Yeah I did. It was so much fun. I’m honestly so glad I’m here and that I get to spend time with him in Italy. How was your date?
Final five! This is pretty exciting!
Yeah definitely. It’s scary thinking that we’re just a week away from hometowns.
Tyson, Let’s take one more chance on love. Will you accept this rose? xoxo Jude

Jude smiled at Tyson - this was the first he’d talked about a future with him, at least in such a concrete way. It made Jude feel like keeping Tyson had been a good decision - like they still had the opportunity to build a future with each other. “We can definitely do that one day. You know… if that’s where we go,” he said gently. He smiled when Tyson was a good sport about the singing. “Alright, I’ll take that,” he nodded. “In the spirit of full disclosure, I can’t sing at all. I can demonstrate for you but I don’t think the people in the park would appreciate that.”
“Can you get into writing for those types of music somehow?” Jude asked. “I’m sure you could even try something like YouTube or Twitter or something. It could help you get out of Starbucks. Didn’t you say it like… crushes your soul or something?” Jude liked this lighthearted conversation he was having with Tyson. It was a whole new side of him that he was really interested in. “I guess you are,” Jude said with a laugh. He leaned his forehead against Tyson’s and asked, “Is that a problem?” He loved that Tyson was willing to talk about Bee, and he said, “As much as my brothers would probably love that, no. I think she’s the only tutu-wearing baseball player. She just loves boy and girl things equally. Which is more than I can say for most of her classmates, sadly.”
Tyson was reminded right away that his time here wasn’t guaranteed. It was a scary thing to think about but he was shocked he’d gotten this far. So it felt right to start talking about what they could do if they went all the way. “Everyone can sing. Some people just need some lessons,” he said. “I could teach you.” Tyson shrugged. “Maybe. I’m going to try but I have to write what pays the bills for now. YouTube though... you might be onto something there.” He smiled at Jude and really liked the way they could flirt together. “Not a problem at all,” he shook his head. “I kind of like it.” Tyson wiggled his eyebrows. “She sounds like a really sweet girl. It sounds like what you two have is really special.”

“Thanks,” Jude said sheepishly. “Sorry again. I feel awful.” He really hoped Tyson knew that he remembered so much about him, that he wasn’t some inconsiderate asshole or something. “Okay, I promise not to kill anyone, but I’m with you. Being there would be awesome but I’d probably die on the slopes.” He smiled at the thought of it, of the two of them road tripping up to Colorado and having their very first experience with snow. Thoughts of family vacations - of giving Tyson a loving family to call home - filled Jude with warmth and optimism.
He raised an eyebrow when Tyson said he liked to sing. “I’d love to hear you sometime,” Jude said. “If you feel up to it.” Considering Tyson didn’t like the music he wrote about, Jude was filled with curiosity. “What do you like listening to, then?” Each person had their own tastes and of course you had to do what paid the bills but Jude wasn’t interested in what Tyson was paid to say, he wanted to know what this man really thought. His story about swimming though - it was heartwarming and put a smile on Jude’s face. He held him just a bit closer and said, “That’s really beautiful. Thank you for sharing that with me.” He considered the question for a second before he said, “Aside from cooking, my only other hobby when I was younger was baseball. I played on the high school team, even. Now I just watch it. Occasionally Bee wants to play catch though, and then I go outside and play that with her.”
“No, please don’t. It’s fine.” Tyson knew he wasn’t a stand out or a favorite like the other people in the competition but he liked that he was still here and had a chance with Jude. “Well, we could do that one day. maybe.” He didn’t like talking about the future because he knew his chances were so slim. He didn’t want to get hurt. But Jude made him feel like getting hurt wouldn’t be the worst thing because at least he’d gotten to know him. Tyson shrugged. “I haven’t sung for anyone in a long time,” he said. “Maybe one day?” It had connections to memories that he didn’t want to dig up. He wanted to be happy for once.
“I like R&B, hip hop, but nothing too crazy or offensive. My sister hated that stuff and sort of convinced me to, too. I like the ballads. Some rock, obviously,” he looked at Jude. “What about you?” He smiled when Jude praised him. It felt good to be appreciated and noticed. He felt special when he was with Jude. “Hmm so I’m dating a jock?” Tyson asked, smiling. “I swore I’d never do that. I break all my rules for you.” First flying, and now this. They were superficial rules to begin with but it was the intentions behind it. He was seriously attracted to Jude. “So you’ve raised a little tomboy then?” He was curious about Bee even though he was terrified of being a parent to someone. He didn’t think he’d be good at it.

“Oh my god, I’m sorry. I totally knew that,” Jude said when Tyson explained that he was from Riverside. He knew he’d been told that, and he felt like an idiot. “Sorry. Sometimes there’s a lot to take in here. I know it’s know excuse, though.” He looked at Tyson, feeling a bit bad that he’d forgotten something like that. He really, truly wanted these people to know how much he cared about them. “That’s not dumb. I’ve lived my whole life in Arizona. I’d kill to see snow.”
Jude found a park near where they were walking and they sat down at one of the benches, Jude’s arm going around Tyson’s shoulders right away. He frowned when all Tyson did was talk about work. “There has to be more that you enjoy though, right?” he asked curiously. “Like, work is work but what do you do for fun? There has to be something.” Jude thought about it for a moment and then said, “You said you write about music. You must like it then, right? Or maybe going to concerts?”
“No you’re fine,” Tyson insisted. “I know you’ve got a lot of stuff you’ve had to learn since this started. You’re good.” He actually laughed this time more than he ever had before. “Please don’t kill a man. You should just like send us to Colorado or something. I’d probably put up with a flight just to see some snow.” He paused. “I’d probably die on the slopes but hey at least I’d finally get to see some snow.”
Tyson sat down next to Jude and didn’t know exactly what to say to answer his questions. “I like to sing I guess. My mom used to ask me to sing to her when she wasn’t feeling well,” he said. “So did my sister. Apparently I’m pretty good at it. The music I write about all sort of sounds the same to me. You’d be surprised how believable bullshit can be when you write it an publish it.” He laughed. “I guess if I had to pick something I used to do for fun I’d say swimming. My dad couldn’t swim but my mom taught me. My sister wasn’t allowed. So she sat with my dad on the beach and my mom and I went out into the ocean. Or she’d take me to a pool and we’d race each other, doing laps and stuff. What about you?”

Jude knew that a lot of people thought he was a fool for keeping Tyson around. When he’d first made the decision, he even questioned his own choice. But it felt right, being in Venice with this man. He knew he’d made the right decision in keeping him around. It was clear by how defensive Tyson got and for how down on himself he was that he was being genuine when he apologized and insisted it would never repeat itself. That he wasn’t going to keep in touch with Carmen. That made Jude feel even better about keeping Tyson around.
“Okay,” Jude said simply. “Well - then I think the best thing for us is to just put that behind us. Carmen is in the past. Now it’s just you and me - in freaking Italy.” He looked over at Tyson and realized that aside from his family past, Jude knew very little about this man. “So what do you like to do? What are your hobbies? Where do you live?” Jude wanted to know every little bit that Tyson would allow him to learn. That’s what this date was about. Getting to the same level of intimacy and knowledge with each other as Jude had with some of the others.
Putting Carmen and the cheating thing in the past hadn’t sounded very easy every time Tyson thought about it but when Jude said it, everything clicked. Tyson smiled bigger than he had the entire competition and looked at Jude like he’d just seen the sun. “Yeah. Yeah definitely,” Tyson agreed. They were in Italy, so he should stop pouting and start living. It’s what his mother would have wanted him to do. “Well, I’m born and raised in California. Riverside. Not far from LA. It’s cool but I’ve always wondered what snow is like. Sounds dumb, I know.” Tyson shrugged and said, “I don’t really do anything else though. I work all the time so I can pay for my own place. I write some music stuff so that’s cool but Starbucks really crushes your soul honestly. But I make decent money there and they give me insurance so I can’t exactly quit.”
