UAE Veggies

This is a community for all vegans, vegetarians, and animal lovers of the UAE (though people from all around the globe are most welcome to join). If you're veg or veg-curious, or if you'd just like to reduce your intake of meat and other animal-based products, then this community is for you. If you consider yourself an animal lover and an advocate of animal rights, do not hesitate to join us. We post recipes, inspirational photos, and articles on a regular basis. We also review various vegetarian or vegan-friendly restaurants across the UAE so you'll always be informed about all the yummy places to dine in. The goal is to keep us connected to each other, exchange useful tips, and possibly organize meet-ups in the future.

What's your opinion on people who physically can't go vegan? Like they'll get sick if they cut meat out of their diet.

I think anyone can go vegan. In fact, it's the meat in your diet that might be making you ill.

A good tip for removing matted fur from our furry friends

Drench the matt in coconut oil and it should loosen up after a few hours. Repeat the process until the matt separates from the skin. You'll then be able to cut it off easily. I tried it with my Persian today who is terrified of groomers and it worked wonders.  :) Coconut oil is also really good for cats and dogs.

Sorry for the absence, everyone. I decided to take a short break from UAE Veggies which quickly escalated into a super long hiatus. I've been dealing with a lot of things in my personal life but I want you to know that I'll be making updates to this page again very soon. I might not post as much as I used to, but I still want to keep the veggie community alive.
