Hi, everyone! I got many questions about the gloves and nails, so i tried to create a little “tutorial”.I use basic patterns for gloves, but made the fingertips  longer. Then I sewed the gloves, but left the fingrtips unsewn. Then I glued fake nails from the inside of the gloves to one side. Cut other side of the fingertip and glued it… hope my horrible drawing will help to better understand XDD

Cosplay Tip of the Day

Don’t tear some cosplayers down to build up others.

A compliment that is based on bashing another cosplayer is not a real compliment. It’s just needlessly mean, and it promotes vicious competitiveness in the cosplay community.

THIS INCLUDES YOU! “Your such a better ____ than me!”  Is not acceptable either! We love you! Don’t hurt yourself to compliment someone else!

It would be better to say or think “You are an inspiration to me!” Or “You are my favorite _____ !” Or “Seeing your _____ made me want to / inspired me to cosplay it!” Don’t put down yourself or others.

EVERY cosplay brings something to the table for that character or fandom. So your prop, wig, or sewing skills are still being perfected (everyone starts somewhere!) or you commissioned your whole costume - you love that character and want to be them and share in that love with the fandom. Your character performance, your expressions, photos or video you may take, that is uniquely yours. You want to be obscure character seen for 2 manga panels, original alternate version, or be one of 1,000 main character standard outfit cosplay out there, it doesn’t matter. Each is valid and good and unique.
