19. Your muse takes my muse hostage.
For whatever reason, Tsuna found the blade in Jiraiya’s hand suddenly touching her throat. It wasn’t firm enough to do any damage, but the situation remained astonishing. Not that it mattered whether he would actually cut her open or not, her body would regenerate itself anyway. Yet, the look upon Madara’s face.. he was furious.
Sure, Madara was supposedly the grand opponent in this war, and the primary objective of the living shinobi was to take him down, but who would’ve thought that Jiraiya would have the guts to do something so bold as to threaten Madara Uchiha with his own sister. The only thing about this that made Tsuna feel sick was the fact that he had ahold of her. Touching her. Stop it. Stop touching me. A shiver ran down her spine, but she could control this phobia better when her brother is around. Besides, being a reanimated corpse tends to have its advantages; she doesn’t feel the pain associated with being touched.
❝ If you wanted to die so badly, there were other ways of allowing that to happen. This, though… this is a stupid approach. My brother won’t listen to a word you say, and I suppose, it’s best that way. ❞

Find little fox and show him to Tsuna-sensei "I found your summon! "

❝ … So you did. ❞
It seemed like a young pup too, probably too young to be on its own. Tsuna’s lips upturned and rolled a little, before she pursed them shut, as she was contemplating the situation. The situation was familiar; she’d once brought home an injured fox to her father whom promptly tried to have it killed. His voice invaded her mind, but Tsuna was quick to dismiss it. No, killing this juvenile was out of the question.
❝ But that specific fox is not a summon animal, Jiraiya. I don’t know where you found it, but don’t you think its mother is perhaps… searching for it? ❞

The headstone made for Madara was nothing short of expensive, made from polished marble and etched with perfect precision. Tsuna found herself rereading the epitaph over and over and over. Feelings stirred in her stomach, but she remained still, her expressionless face as hard as the marble before her. She would not cry, even if the pain in her chest yearned for her to do so. She sensed Itachi’s approach but said nothing, she didn’t acknowledge him. In that moment, she just did not care for reality.
Internally, she was wondering what death felt like. What happens after one dies? Is it a black void like some say? Is there an afterlife? Why has it happened to all members of her family? A blink. When would it be her turn? All these questions and curiosity flooded her brain, until Itachi’s presence became overwhelming. He was starting to distract her, even just by simply approaching. Tsuna closed her eyes.
❝ What do you want? ❞

Deep in an untouched forest where nature grew out of control, Tsuna stood quietly over a cross made from two sticks. The cross itself was well aged and shrouded in weeds and abandoned spider-webs. It had minor damage from termites and sat slightly crooked due to wind damage. Yet, despite everything, it still stood there. The age and wear on it would make it seem to be around one hundred years old.
Tsuna stared at it. Her eyes unblinking and filled with remorse, yet her expression as a whole was quite emotionless other than her lips pulling slightly downward. It would soon become concreted as she sensed Kura’s approach. She didn’t face or immediately acknowledge him, though. Her thoughts were too deep to be pulled so quickly. No doubt he was probably curious - or maybe he didn’t care at all, but she thought she would enlighten him for the delay she caused on their journey. Tsuna gestures to the cross with a motion of her hand.
❝ His name was Izuna. He was a very strong man who achieved a great deal back in those days.. ❞
