IDLE HEADCANONS:
What is the most common lie your muse tells others?
Something Oikawa tells himself that's no longer true, but more so for the theatrics, in order to retain a core of himself, even though it comes naturally more often than not, is that he's super charming, and people are envious of him because everyone likes him. What's not to like? In his most private of moments, with people he's most comfortable with - Oikawa knows that hasn't been the truth for a long time, and with leaving high school, it more than likely never was. With maturing and come to learn about himself on his own, he realized there's plenty to dislike about him, and he can only stand to take the time to few a name: whether it be the way he's too much of an annoying pest on purpose at times, but more often than not naturally. The way he isn't your conventional funny. The way he is prone to high expectations and just his overall insufferable personality with poking and prodding, arrogantly thinking that he can get whatever he wants, too. And really, he knows he's an acquired taste.
It's not necessarily something he's bummed to know about either - but with growing, he has noticed he's having more clashes with people. Not fitting in as seamlessly as he would use to, and that's what the close-knit of a friend group in high school does for you, along with growing up with a constant and consistent best friend. It makes you think melding and gelling with other people is easy. Effortless.
People cannot get along with everyone. It's human; he knows this, he doesn't have a problem with it, but like true in Oikawa glory, he purposely says this shit with the purposed antagonizing prod of getting under someone else's skin. It doesn't help that he finds it funny, either. It's really something he says in a joking air, even though it's backlogged with knowing it isn't true.
Another common like he tells others is: Yeah, exercising is easy. I'm rarely super winded! Big, fat ass lie. While his stamina and muscle have built up - after workouts with Blanco? He might as well be a beached whale washed up on shore.
Would your muse ever roleplay?
Oikawa knows that fandom exists. He knows about the existence of fanart and fanfic. He’s even read fanfic three to five times out of fun, but when it comes to roleplay? He doesn’t know how extensive it can get. He only knows about the bedroom, sexual form, and the asterisk kind, and the latter he only does for the sake of a joke. He doesn’t know how extensive people can get with roleplaying. He doesn’t know that there are people possibly out there roleplaying famous people, shipping themselves as Naruto and Sasuke, or anything. I think if he were ever to come across a forum like that, he’d think it’s funny at first but then later feel horror and overwhelmed with the knowledge that people write novels and novels and monologues about these people. They have sex as them. They kiss as them. They fuck. He would probably panic and vent to someone about it, maybe.
With the bedroom kind, he’d maybe indulge with it someone he knows who would have fun, and not take themselves too seriously. But it wouldn’t be something he necessarily needs to get off. Just a funny tool to make a memory with and get laid.
What is your muse’s first thought upon waking up?
On days where he’s sore and had a busy day before: Oh god, I’m up. Not this.
On days where he’s happy to be met with the morning: I’m hungry. I don’t wanna make breakfast. Sigh. I need to have someone order me something, or bring me breakfast in bed, that’d be nice. And then sometimes: I forgot my dream again!
