A testimony on why this is one of the greatest kissing scenes I have seen:
Pat initiates the kiss and it is not as hesitant as one would believe it should be. There is a sense of desperation and urgency but also a simmering sense of security in it as though he knows what he is doing.
Pran responds with an equal sense of intensity and belief that he knows this is happening. It was not just a casket of passions burst open, it was calm and they appeared very self-aware even though it is a presentation of getting lost in the moment. The conversation that preceded this kiss substantiates this.
They pause here, Pat takes a pause and this is one of the factors that make it real, they pause and look at each other. There's eye contact and they just soak the moment in. This happens in real life but it is rarely explained in cinema.
Look at Pran, just his teary-eyed gaze and how could you not feel this whirlwind of emotions on a rollercoaster on Saturn rings. Your repressed feelings are finally tumbling out like monsoon showers and they are reciprocated. And, and you don't know what to do, so you just look at your significant bother. You look at him to reiterate that this is real, this exists. It is a moment where you refute the belief that you don't have to name it to know it. Nanon and Ohm are such incredible actors and this is immaculate timing.
Now, Pran initiated the kiss again, which is why it felt very real to me. Usually, gay dramas or shows just end it with a kiss and that is not how it usually goes irl. He literally tugs Pat's neck and kisses him again which ughh, this where the brimming passions come into play.
And they are lost, you know what, this moment is like worth witnessing so I won't read between the lines much but the way it fucking made me yearn.
They are just soaking it in, this whole thing was so not rushed and as a viewer, you get the time to intricately see the time stamps of each emotion. That's one of my favorite bits of this and why I wanted to analyze it.
And here is the build-up for the next scene, you see what emotions will come and interplay succeeding the kiss. They use the residual emotional strength as actors to set up a premise for the next situation. While Pat is smiling and overwhelmingly happy because he probably stamped his uncertainty of love that only existed in his imaginations into something very real. Pran is just tumbling out emotions, he is overwhelmed and confused and complete and relieved and uncertain.
Hence, I rest my case as to why this is the best kissing scene I have come across and no, I don't take any constructive criticism. Bii, I will go gay and yearn now
