something was off. they could all tell. everyone in the order felt it, crawling under their skin and settling down. but not a single one of them could figure out what the hell it was.
they surveyed the world around them. a man walking his dog on one end, a family eating dinner on another. lots of people going to work, lots of kids making stupid decisions and more just sitting around at home.
one of the last group stood out more than the rest. at first glance she looked normal, normal appearance, normal clothes, she was on tumblr which was pretty normal in and of itself. but upon closer look……..

they had let a feminist get away with making a generalization? they had let a feminist get away with making a joke???
it was a rather plain joke, an addition to a comment about how cat haters wanted nothing but submission from those around them. that almost embarrassing need to feel in control had reminded the girl of men. she puffed a little laugh and hit post, continuing to scroll.
those of the order simply couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed. how dare a girl- a child, nonetheless- not live her life to cater to men?
the members at once had the same thought. straightening and nodding as they realized what was off, they went to the girl screaming-
