Going to start introducing the family members of the protagonists. Starting off strong with Lucas's family. These are ordered by the oldest to youngest members.

Laura Hanson

Age: 30s
Role: Mother
Laura is the mother to both Lucas and Ashley. She has experienced many hardships throughout her life, but always keeps her head up. As both a parent and an employee, she is often left without little free time. However, since meeting her second husband, David, domestic duties have evened out.
Her mood swings are given room to breathe. She has also begun to take interest in more adventurous things, even if these experiences mostly extend to new foods. A light that had dimmed from her has been encouraged to burn. Among the faded memories and walking reminders of pain, she is starting heal. Every terrible joke is a step forward.
She works at a plant nursery from Tuesday to Saturday. Although she enjoys gardening, her dream job is to be a hairstylist. She loves styling Ashley's hair and used to be able to convince Lucas to let her cut his. Outside of work, she likes nonsensical drama and murder mystery shows, cycling, and sometimes plays piano. She watches the major cricket games too.
She is happier with David. Their daughter is her pride and joy. However, she struggles to understand Lucas's point of view. Often, she wishes he would grow out of his teenager behaviour. His hatred for David easily angers her.
David Hanson
Birthday: 4th January, 1960
Age: 30s
Role: Step-father to Lucas; biological father to Ashley
David's life took a turn he never expected. Since moving from the New South Wales countryside to Ipswich, he never thought he would be able to enjoy the slow life ever again. This all changed when he stopped in Halboro to buy a gift for his mother on his way to their house. There, he met Laura, the love of his life.
He is generally a very happy, patient man. Working as a handyman and plumber, he enjoys improving the house whenever he can. Cooking is one of his passions. One of his favourite things is to surprise his family with freshly made pancakes of various flavours. Life could not get any better.
Well, except for Lucas. Try as he might, Lucas despises him. Driving his step-son anywhere is a nightmare for them both. Even when at home, he feels uncomfortable when Lucas is around. He tries to keep face, but years of distrust are wearing him down.
Aside from cooking and tradie work, he enjoys motorcross. He has a secret love for the crappy TV shows Laura watches. She gives him a space to destress. He never wants to leave.
As the second protagonist to Dandelion Sun, Lucas's introduction has already been covered in the protagonist intro post. Here, I will briefly cover his relationships to his family members.
Lucas was once very close to his mother. His love for her has never wavered, but it has become harder to like her. Call it teenage angst or neglect, but his feelings remain the same. She nitpicks everything he does and expects so much from him. She knows that man has bad intentions, right?
Everything David does fuels Lucas's hatred for him. Every awful pun, silence, or thinly veiled attempt at getting to know him. It is all another wound being clawed open by his hands. He knows David does not feel comfortable around him. Why should Lucas ever want someone like him near his family?
Ashley is a difficult person. On one hand, she is a three-year-old. As a literal toddler, he knows she cannot be held responsible for what she has done. Really, was it even her fault she was born?
On the other hand, she is the anchor keeping everyone in this storm. He looks at her and does not see a child. He sees the thing his mother loves and what keeps her tied to that piece of shit. Christ, he wishes she was never born. He wishes he did not have to deal with this weight, let alone all the troubles of suddenly having a younger sibling.
Ashley was born into a rather difficult situation. If she was an only child, her life would have been a breeze. She lives with doting parents: a mother who prizes her above all else and a father who would do anything for her. There is just this one thingāthis one flawākeeping her from a perfect childhood.
Lucas has, without intending to, given her a lot of grief. As a toddler, she lacks the mental development to understand why he is so curt or why he scowls at her presence. He scares and confuses her. Everyone else smiles and plays her games. Why does he not?
As a toddler, much of her individuality has not developed. Nevertheless, she is a very creative child. She likes to draw and read picture books. Her parents play games with her in the yard, so she has learnt to love running and being outside. She never learned to hate foods when her father could cook so well. She fears the monsters under the bed and outside her window. Her life could be so picturesque.

actually i do think its fun that theyre opening a real life freddy fazbears pizza location but it will only be accurate if its built on top of another fake pizzeria which is built on top of a suburban house which is built on top of an underground animatronic testing/rental facility which is built on top of a costume factory from the 70s
