Starting things off we will go with a game I've been pretty much deep into for awhile, Final Fantasy XIV. Especially with the new expansion out, many people are going to give this game a shot and if you're unfamiliar with MMORPGs it can be quite daunting. So some quick tips for those getting started. 1. The best class is the ranged DPS class, Archer which will eventually become Bard once you hit a certain point. Now, as a support class you're going to have access to song then which allow you to boost your party's stats. But that's not why you chose archer. You want to kill stuff so keep this in mind. Attack as fast as possible. If your tank can't keep up with you it's not your fault. They clearly marked the least important target and you should help them by attacking a completely different enemy. Is your party getting mad at you now? Ignore them. They're just mad that they can't keep up with your Aggro. Ignore all suggestions as they will just try to make you into a backup role for dungeons. That's not fun at all. If you really want a challenge run ahead of everyone and bring all the enemies back with you in one big group. Now you can kill them all at once. This is obviously a rough outline on playing archer/bard, but hopefully it will get you some sort of starting point. Maybe we will touch on other classes later though all of them are significantly less useful than the archer.
