What I’m wearing: a little dress because it's half past midnight and its still hot as fuck + im cute. it has blue flowers on it smiles

Dream job: comic artist and illustrator!! and honestly with me being a manga teacher on call and now managing to get a illustration gig. things are looking a little brighter

Dream trip: i'd love to go on a cruise in the nordic sea. odd choice since i can't stand the cold but i loved my time in north Europe and also whales are there :( otherwise uhhhh Greece, Thailand and i'd like to go back in Copenhagen. possibly in a time of the year where it doesn't get dark at 3pm

Favorite food: eggplants parmigiana, pesto potatoes and greenbean pasta and salmon tartare

Play any instruments: i used to play the piano!! i haven't really been playing it much in the past decade tho, i mostly compose lately. also obligatory shoutout to anyone who forced every single kid in school to play the recorder: fuck you i hope you get divorced

Languages: ofc Italian and English. i've been meaning to get back at studying French and Russian for a while now

Random fact: i've been DMing a homebrew campaign for my DND friends forrr almsot a year now and they're now headed to the Very First Scene i imagined for the BBGE and im very hyped

Maybe she could get him nice gloves, to keep his hands safe from the heavy weapons he uses. Or maybe, since he keeps his hair in a braid, she could get him something for his hair too. She has, of course, elected to ignore his answer. She'll get him a gift eventually, she wants him to have something from her.

When he shows her the bow, she lights up with joy: "Cute!"

It's a gift. A gift for her. "Can I try it?" she asks the shopkeeper, who is busy at the counter now but quickly nods. Figures her first gift that is just that, something given to her that isn't about their mission, would come from him. She remembers then how she's seen other women act, and lifts herself on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek, "Thank you!"

Obviously, her hair will stay up in ponytails for as long as she has to keep fighting, out of her way, high like her guard, but she pulls her previous ribbon off, long curls falling down almost to her hips, and she quickly pulls it back up with the new one, the gift, which she has already decided she'll never take off. If she ever finds some legendary hair-thingy she'll just put both on. "Pretty?" she asks him, smile wide and a little wink.

It should be illegal to be so adorable. A thought that crosses his mind and has barely the time to sink in before he makes space for a more shocked one, that questions the adoration that accompanied that first mental note.

One more time, with gusto: get a grip.

"Absolutely stunning!" he still beams, barely waiting for her to pose the question. His eyes find the shopkeer's, just to return to Terra when he notices the look that the other is giving him. One that is reading a little too much into this whole situation.

"…this said! Is there anything else you'd like to try? We still have some time."

She welcomes his closeness, especially now that he seems to need it more, and listens while trying to picture the people she's seen at the castle. The difference between optimistic and hopeful is not clear in her mind; it seems too thin to be grasped. But she doesn't ask yet, because she wants him to keep expressing his feelings. It must have been so hard, from becoming a king so young, right after losing a father, to having to lead while the Empire was growing more powerful and sinister. And then, take care of them from afar.

"Kefka broke the world, it was impossible, or almost, to keep hope up after that, they have a point... But... you are a good leader, and hope is inevitable. As long as Kefka is gone..." She gently touches his cheek now that he's looking at her again, trying to instill in him some of that comfort that he so often had given her in the past, "When we defeat him, you'll bring their smiles back. I'm sure of it."

And now that she has all of her memories, now, she can look at him with the same eyes she used to have before the crown, and a chuckle slips up when she remembers: "I hated you, back when I was a soldier."

Because of course, with all the snooping and eavesdropping she had done, she had heard plenty about the king of Figaro. She hopes he'll find it humorous too. "I remember that now! You were so good at smooth-talking the Empire... I remember thinking: if I ever meet him, I'm going to set him on fire. It's a good thing you didn't meet me until I lost my memories! But that's how skilled you were, at performing for the Empire, doing everything you needed to do to keep people safe. And that's over now. You even have more close friends than before, who can help! When it's time to rebuild, we all will help."

Well… that's a way to leave him at loss of words! The king blinks a few times before giving Terra a puzzled look, listening to her memories from a time long gone… and even with that macabre remark, he somehow finds himself…

Laughing.

Maybe it's the cheerful way with which she said such nasty words, maybe it's the suddenness of it all, but he can't stop himself.

"Thank goodness! Because I'm certain that you could've easily whiped the floor with me!

Although…"

Oh, he really can't help himself, can he?

"You still managed to start a wildfire in my heart, when we first met. Equally devastating, if I may say so myself!"

Terrible. Awful. As corny as he could be. Way to ruin the mood, Edgar.
