I still firmly believe that MDZS has one of the best introductions of a novel EVER. Like, the very first line being "Rejoice, Wei Wuxian is dead!" followed by a crowd cheering and gossiping about him, while you as a reader know nothing more than a general overview of the plot and that this Wei Wuxian guy is the main character, is CRAZY work. That shit got me hooked INSTANTLY.

Oh boy there’s a lot to her haha!

Her name is Himawari and she’s like the main character. She’s an anarchist currently but she’s actually the princess of the kingdom Gardenia and her birth name is Sunflower. She doesn’t align with the monarchy due to a lot of personal reasons.

Her parents were murdered by her aunt, her father’s sister, in order to take the throne. She didn’t end up getting to Sunflower cuz her teacher, the wind Deity Aliferous, helps her escape west. She ends up being raised by a man named Kaeru along with a whole village and she learns more about her heritage. She’s half mutellian, which is a fictional race i created of shapeshifters that can turn into specific animals they are connected with. Kaeru is a frog, and Sunflower gets connected with a phoenix and changes her name to Himawari as part of the custom. A few years later she’s visited by Aliferous and she trains her to try and take down the queen once and for all. Well things don’t go as planned and Aliferous gets murdered by the Queen and Himawari leaves the fight. She buries Aliferous and makes a vow to help free any and all countries suffering from oppression.

I’ve got a LOT of Worldbuilding to this as well haha! The show title is called Heir of Gardenia!
