also tbh im tired of feeling the compulsion to defend my enjoyment of art when it is decidely not progressive or uncritically depicts things that deserve criticism im sorry but i do still find that kind of thing interesting and most of the time i want to observe and ponder and im not always interested in condemning. but that's something of a me problem that i have created for myself by posting on tumblr dot com and exposing myself to 500 different opinions every day across 4 different social media platforms

much to unpack in that movie and i cant say it's done anything that hasn't already been done and dissected and perhaps some might it reductive or indeed problematic but i did enjoy the imagizing of these ideas and the sprinkling of symbolism i won't lie

I fully understand people's disenchantment with electoralism and the limits of lesser evils, but I still have hope that someday we may elect our first fujoshi prime minister and that she'll mandate that all straight boys go gay for women's entertainment. I think there would be value in that even if it is only a first step towards more substantive change.
