               ‘ if green tea isn’t your thing , there is also chamomile ! or taking a soothing bath with some lavender oil. ’ she stated with a sweet smile on her lips , helping people was probably one of her favourite things other than baking on her free time. ‘ thank you ! i’m thankful that it isn’t hitting me as hard i thought it would. but yes , a break was needed. swimming while sick or being in the sun while sick isn’t always the best. ’

"I haven’t heard of that tea so, I’m very thankful for you putting me onto something new!” even though she was a little older she always loved learning something new and whatever could benefit her health. “you’re welcome! you’re right, swimming and sickness don’t mix. coughing and swimming are the worst, that feeling of drowning but not really drowning.”

    the smile that tugged onto akira’s lips told him everything and brought a grin to appear onto his own lips. “yeah. thank you.” the male rasped his own eyes taking in the sketch and being able to pick out things that he wanted to fix. he looked at it and saw something unfinished and sloppy where as akira saw something completely different. “turn the page.” milo shrugged his shoulders, giving the woman permission to flip the pages to see other and better drawings, some of strangers, a few of his sister, his mum, and even a few of the people he considered mates on the ship. 

"No problem, love.” caught off guard from the male telling her to turn the page a rush of excitement overcame her, actually having the permission to view someones art work was always a blessing. doing as told she flipped throughout the pages seeing more creativity within each and every page. even some of the messy ones caught her attention, not breaking a glance with the pages she spoke. “Have you ever thought about putting your work into a gallery?”

"We're officially twins, it’s been confirmed!” being as though AKIRA never knew her siblings she’d always wanted a twin and often hoped for one. although this was only for laughs and more, she took this as somewhat of a litter sister/ big sister moment. “You’re a solider. I could only imagine, singing is almost a second nature and it’s well as fuck when you aren’t doing it. Like what else is there to do when you wanna buss out a tune?”

    tongue in cheek, he’s focused on getting a certain shadow right on the sketch. it’s proving to be difficult however as the child insists on moving quite a bit. clearly it’d be too much if he actually went over to the little one and asked her to stay still for just five minutes. “ uh -” usually he doesn’t share his art, but this time he’s actually slipping sketchpad with the unfinished project over for the woman to see. “ - she looked happy.” milo says as the only explanation as to why he wanted to draw the young girl. 

taking a closer look at the drawing in front of her, her eyes widened in amazement. glancing back up the small child and back down at the drawing, it was perfect. AKIRA loved seeing anything creative it was just so beautiful. “This is beautiful, you have some serious skills. The way you captured her smile and every single feature, wow.”

“i can mix it up for you, if you want.” danny suggested. he’d done it a million times and he wouldn’t mind doing it for her.  “sure. i wouldn’t mind goin’ out for drinks with ya. it’s been a minute since i’ve been to the bar anyways.”

"That’d be perfect. There’s a chance I’d find some kind of way to fuck it up.” standing from the seat, onto her feet she pulled down the small denim shorts she had been wearing. “Let’s put a move on it. I hope nobody decides to fuck up the drinks tonight.”

“maybe you should just make it yourself if you’re afraid of the sharks. i promise you it’s going to be equally as disgustin’.” danny hated having a sore throat because that’s the remedy his mom would use every time and as much as he hated it, it worked. “i’m not gettin’ into anythin’ specific. i’m just hangin’ out tonight and waitin’ for someone to invite me out, i guess.”

"You're right, that sounds like the smarter thing to do.” she nodded releasing the crazy and strange idea from her mind. “You wanna come to the bar with me? I haven’t gone for drinks in a while.”

“Hm, I’d have to say probably tigers. They seem feed up with the bullshit a lot.”

danny nodded his head, “that actually might be a good idea too. not what i meant but you’re thinkin’ outside of my box. i’m sure it won’t hurt you though. you don’t have anythin’ to worry about.”

"Now only to find out how I’d get to the water. I hope it there aren’t any sharks lurking around waiting to tear me apart.” Her fear for underwater creatures had been terrible, sometimes she’d even question herself on why she wanted to work on a ship in the first place. “But, how are you doing? Getting into anything tonight?”

               ‘ definitely stay hydrated ! so bring more water with you during sets , maybe make it a goal to drink a few gulps between each song ? oh – and try green tea , decaffeinated of course , with some honey in it before bed ! that might help a lot , ’ she smiled before nodding her head. ‘ oh no medicine , it hasn’t been too dramatic yet , but i’m making sure to stay up with my healthy eating and hoping that it’ll pass by quick. ’

"That I will do, next time I pull up with nothing but water beside the stage. As soon as I get my hands on some green tea, I’ll make me a nice cup and relax.” She smiled brightly at the thought of having a relaxing moment before bed. “That’s good then! I hope you get better soon, love. Are you taking a break from your shift until you start to feel better?”

her eyes move as the woman takes a seat near her. she doesn’t move but instead listens, lips curving into a smile at her question. ‘ i’m doing quite alright. i have a long shift today, covering for someone so i’m trying to mentally prepare myself for that but i’m doing good. ’ she nodded, eventually shifting her body so that she can see the woman. ‘ what’s up with you? ’

"How long is your shift going to be now that you’re covering someone else’s? I’d tell you to get some coffee in your system but, I think that’s only going to make you crash.” She spoke followed by a small chuckle. “Nothing for now. I was actually thinking of hitting the bar or either the pool before my shift starts. I need to release some steam and just relax for once.”

danny’s attention snapped away from his phone screen and to the singer who was seated nearby. his shoulders lifted up in a shrug, “try garglin’ some warm salt water. works like magic. i promise ya.”

Upon hearing the familiar voice a small graced her lips, listening closely to the advice being given. “I’ll try it. Might just even manage to take some water straight from the ocean, if it doesn’t hurt me of course.”

SOFIA: a passenger just asked me if we could uber steakhouse to their room. SOFIA: i am in SHOCK. SOFIA: how cool would that be though.

“some of the passengers here are just.. infuriating.” he usually got on quite well for everybody, but when passengers got drunk and tried to fight him because he refused them entry into the casino? yeah, he hated them more than anything. “where i come from, what security says goes. and yet, i come here and security means nothing to people. i guess that happens when you just throw money at your problems, though.” xavier rubbed his hand over his face and flashed a smile at the other. “anyway, sorry for whinging about my own crappy shift. how was yours?”

“Ah, you’ll get used to it sooner or later. As long as your brain doesn’t tempt you to throw them over the ship— just try your best to ignore their annoyance.” She responded, remember her experience with rude passengers. Who knew someone could attempt to tell her the show was horrible, when they paid to see it and everyone else thought otherwise. “Sometimes they listen, sometimes they don’t. You have to catch them on a good day or enforce the rules extremely well. Fortunately, my shift doesn’t start until night but, I can tell you I’m not mentally prepared for it.”
