my ui for tracking UAPs started looking like one of those "this game doesn't exist" gifs. anyway ideally the player should figure out what they're actually doing by deduction, i don't want the game to need any tutorials. hopefully the player is as confused as possible

a chunk of the gameplay will be spent looking for signals from outer space. tracking planets but also UAPs and weird things in general. radio telescopes in the game are based off the soviet RT-64 design, not only because they look cool but the reason for the soviet aesthetic will become clearer in the lore later!

so far i've been working on the game from scratch for about 1.5 months, like my own winter jam

I love big dumb attack anims in RPGs and hadn’t done much with Unity’s particle system before now so this took longer than expected, but I made Megumin’s explosion. Not 100% polished but getting there. BOOM

working on the battle system. playing cards often feels pretty boring in these games, so i’m making it feel spicy. adding in an actual explosion next

I was becoming really stressed because my Megumin model looked like a chinese bootleg. I re-made her head and hair, tweaked some other things, and now she looks way cuter!
