I feel like I ask you for tips too often, but I don't see this much anywhere. So, tips for lineart/line weight? I never know which pen to use when. Idk if you solely draw digitally, but any bit of advice is good. All I know is that the thinner pens are meant for more intricate details.
I’ll use a drawing of my character Magnolia to show you step by step what I do! :0
1.) Lightly sketch your design 2.) Use a thin-ish pen to draw in most of the details. Here I used the .03 pen! 3.) Add interest with a thicker pen. Most of the thicker lines I used the size 1 pen for. add smaller details with the thinnest pen you have! So, here I used the .005 pen ^ ^ 4.) Colour if you'd like! When drawing traditionally, my colouring utensils of choice are actually sharpies of all things! I love bold colours with almost no blending, so sharpies are perfect for me!
