this is the problem with basically any and all relationship and sex “discourse”. the question asked is never “is someone being harmed? is someone’s boundaries being violated? is someone’s agency being denied?” but rather “is someone getting a boner I personally believe they’re not supposed to get?”

Remember that if “adults who look young are functionally minors and therefore fucking them is pedophilia” is true, then “minors who look older are functionally adults and fucking them is fine” is also true.

Its about capacity to consent, not appearance. The fact that those are loosely connected due to them both being tied to aging does not make them interchangeable. And it is a *lack of capacity to consent* that predators are looking to exploit. They arent going for young looking adults for a reason.
