everytime i hear someone call depression and anxiety ‘destigmatized mental illnesses’ i wonder how they react when they find out someone has spent weeks or months in bed or struggles to shower or eat

#it just doesn’t affect other people quite as much as other mental illnesses #everyone else can ignore someone’s anxiety/depression #it’s very much an isolating thing because not only do each of them try to get you to isolate yourself #but most people get uncomfortable when faced with it #so you kinda just gotta deal alone #destigmatized would be not having to feel guilty when I can’t leave my house or talk to my friends because everything causes me to panic #I wake up with so much anxiety my body seizes up #and i only recently got recommended to try medicating it
