Mooncaller

For where's my moon, my raging moon, my distant peace of mind

To be depicted by the stream

To shine beyond these falseful gods

These runts of humankind

And when the dream of things before,

Has drowned in shallow water

And man becomes an author

Come to me my moon, my moon to show the ways that brought her.

Of all that's holy, all that's blessed

For faith is false, the text, the loom

The liar cheats the rolling dice lest

Wrath is shown by you my moon

Sorry for the absence, don't expect regular posts from now on, I will be a lot less busy in summer, until then here is an A2 watercolour and ballpoint work. Also reference.

The walls speak fears of rain, the floors of atrophy and rumours of large change echo across the overgrown halls. Although I don’t believe it, the hope and terror of something new invades my mind planting cocoons of doubt within my psyche.

There was something in the moss here, a glinting light. Hope perhaps? Then terror too with it. It is a hard drive. The Elysium trademark, title and manufacturer have been scratched off with some manner of sharp implement, but the storage label is still somewhat visible: “10GB”, I, however, am inclined to think differently based on the unusual heft of the device. Its aluminium tip is warped from regular use, but still in good shape and there is a note attached with simple string, in pencil, on old paper, newly written:

Went on a quick walk today and made a quick sketch of a nice view (might turn it into a full scale sometime later)

My scars however marked me long ago

and still, to this day I bear their pain just as I was taught to then.

“You must survive!”

I heard the voice of that wretched woman yet again, one last time and tasted its bitterness as if it were my own, the same way I remembered doing seventeen years ago.

“Please, for me!”

No longer. No longer did I have to do anything for you, I would’ve died there and then, if on my own terms, but instead I survived, not for her, for myself.

Now this is epic
