Undercover is an Undertale Au that takes inspiration from Emily Crystal's IE Au, Lunnar-Chan's Emperor au (I believe that's what it's called, I don't actually know much about that Au, I just like the designs). As well a weird ass dream I had.
The name of the world this story takes place in is called Celestial (I really couldn't come up with anything better). Sun's Empire is known as the Astral Empire.
Celestial University is a school that is both a high school and college mixed into one. The university is fairly new, only being established after a few years after Echo's biological parents had passed, his old home castle being repurposed and becoming the school.
The parents/adults are unaware that the ship children are spying on Nightmare

I wanted him to look more ethereal, but I'm not sure if I succeeded in that.
Also, I decided to make it so his eyes are always closed, he is a Seraphim after all, and from what I read, encountering a Seraphim can be dangerous, like, you could be incinerated alive dangerous.
But with Sun, I made it so it's only his eye's that can do that. He can control it, but he chooses to keep them closed as it makes the people around him feel safer.
The new Echo Morningstar! (Previously known as Echo Shine)
Echo is now a creature called a Crystalline, beings known for their crystal-like hair, eyes, and even skin on some occasions. Some can even be born with crystal like horns and wings, but this is far less common.
It's extremely easy to tell how a Crystalline's health is as their crystal features give it away. If their crystals are shining as normal, they're in good health. But if their crystals are dull, they may be sick or even injured.
Crystalline are hailed from the Kingdom of Valencia, though it is often called the Kingdom of Knowledge, or even the Crystal kingdom due to being located deep underground in a large crystal cavern.
After the sudden and unexpected death of both the King and Queen, Echo Shine was taken in by Sun Morningstar for his safety, where he was then adopted by the Emperor a few months later.
A few years after the incident, and with the permission of Echo, Sun turned the vacant palace into a school, both believing it's what Echo's late parents would've wanted.
I'm just putting this here so I remember a few things in how I want to tell the story, as well explain what I have planned to you all and get your input.
So far, the story will be separated into three things.
In 1:
In these chapters the reader will follow Moon around as he learns about the new world after waking up from his coma. Teaching the reader about all the bigger stuff in the world through his eyes, as well learn about the (adult) character backstories as Moon has a special ability to see into the past.
In 2:
In these chapters the reader will be following the Ship Children/Spys around as they try and figure out what Nightmare is planning, that is, if he's planning anything. These chapters we'll give the reader a more detailed look into how the kingdom is ran, it's school system, as well as allow the reader to get to know/understand the Ship Children better.
In 3:
In these chapters the reader will be following Equinox, his friend group, as well as Amor as they explore the "Darkness Kingdom" and "Light Kingdom" [Names are placeholders], teaching the reader about the other two kingdoms the world has.
But yeah, so far that's the plan, things may change, but we'll see. But now the main question remains, should all these be in one book all together? Or have their own separate things as to not get confusing?
Also, would this be considered a parallel story or a nested story? All these stories are happening at the same time and things people do in one chapter we'll affect another, say Sun put more guards on duty than usual in one chapter, it'd make it harder for the Ship Kids to spy on Nightmare.
I'm getting rid of Equinox's crush on Angst, thinking about it more after coming back after stepping away for a second due to beginning to overwhelm myself, I don't like it, and believe they'd be better off as just friends.
