Duster S2 Plots I looked forward to

Im in bed struck with a fever, so why not go ahead and just ramble since I cant do anything else.

1. Jim spending more time with Luna

The revelation that Izzy had cancer was heartbreaking and but Jim ina dificult situation. He was needed on another mission but now needed to decide what he was gonna do, and it put so many new things on the line: Does he introduce his had to Izzy and Luna? Even with his stepmother, I imagined she would have begun to form a beautiful bond with luna. And most of all, he now had to decide wether he was going to tell her that he was her father.

2. Jim teaming up with Awan

We all know Awan is our pookie-bear, the cutest of the cutest and so sweet he'll give you a cavity. I had imagined Nina would have taken him with her on her new mission in Washington, D.C, where he would have to work with Jim. I really would have loved to see this duo. I think it would have made Awan more serious and Jim would have pulled him into situations where he would have had to show us he can fight. I would have loved to see them back to back, having gotten themselves in trouble while nina left them unsupervied for 10 minutes. Not to mention that they both care deeply about Nina.

3. More Nina and Awan (of course. are you kidding me?)

(this gif? HEEEEEEEEEEELPPPP!!!!!!!!! MY HEART-) Y'ALL. Asivak Koostachin and Rachel Hilson eating, leaving no crumbs and disappearing is not right. Do you want to know what I saw for this pairing?? If you haven't seen the movie Juanita, it is a coming of age love story between an African American woman and a Native American man. Let let me just say this: he took her to his reservation. The pairing of these cultures is rarely ever represented on television, but their cultures are so rich and give so much terrian to do something so beautiful. I know he already brought her there, but I imagined them staying there. Maybe a wise woman telling Nina she sees something in her future (Awan, children... let me be delulu on steroids, ok?) I would have loved to see the journey their connection takes, leading up to the declaration of love between these two.

4. Sibling Rivalry on the Horizon?

Ezra Saxton is dead. What's gonna happen between his two kids? Genesis expressed wanting to take over their empire but being held back because she is not a man. Royce didn't feel ready, but witnessed ihs father's death. Is the character that literally got a new heart going to become heartless??

Is the Saxton Empire gonna split in two? Or is Genensis to exit completely, traumatized by her father's death? Are they gonna turn on Jim when they find out what was happening? It has me thinking...

5. Uhm-uhm-uhm! (Izzy and Jim getting back together)

Yes, and quickly please. I imagined S2 opening with a flashback episode about how these two met, the journey of their realtion (their first date, making Luna (hhhh), breaking up, pregnancy reveal, getting back together, Luna's birth, then the final breakup (maybe because something happens that makes Jim decide Luna cannot know he's her Daddy) - then cutting to Izzy waking up in a hospital bed and Jim being right by her side, meanig that the entire episode was about him going their history over in his mind.

I do not care about that doctor. Jim got 'Izzy Reyna's property' written across his forehead with a permanent marker. That's what I know.

6. Jim and his brother Joey

If by the end of S2, they made Jim find his brother, how would that encounter go? I thought, what if Jim suddenly finds himself fighting his brother? What if the season ends with Jim chasing a maked man down an alley, it turns out to be Joey, and instead of getting an embrace, joey shoots Jim? (I knooow, dark, dark, dark, BUT, very intruiging!) Why did Joey leave? (maybe we should get a flashback epsisode from his perspective) I've been thinking about this plot a lot!

I'm gonna stop here for now. What do you think? Which plots did you expect to continue in S2? And how?

Rosenrot screenshots- see, Till, she's up to no good. This girl hates her parents for some reason, she wants them dead, then the priests arrive, she manipulates one of them to kill her mom and dad, she probably promised to run away with him after, my theory about the plot.

I have this gut wrenching AU idea that I just have to tell you guys before I lose my marbles

Megamind: Portal AU

Megamind and Minion were diligently working on a project, one intended to solve the city's countless problems, when a portal abruptly tore open in the middle of the lair. Blueprints scattered everywhere as strong winds pushed Megamind backward, colliding with Minion.

Out of the dimensional tear stepped another version of himself, quickly followed by his own Minion. The portal sealed shut moments after their arrival.

This alternate Megamind presented himself with subtle differences. His eyeliner was heavier, his goatee was slightly curled at the tip, and his suit design featured retractable spikes on the knuckles, boots, and shoulders. He seemed more laid back, less jumpy and skittish, yet wasn't afraid to bare his fangs in a smile once he spotted his other self.

His Minion, on the other hand, was silent. His face was stone cold, with a few scars and fins slightly tattered along the edges. The water in his fishbowl appeared a murky blue. His mechanical suit was similar to the original, but his hands ended in sharp, pointed claws. He didn't speak unless addressed, which was particularly odd.

The two Megaminds quickly fell into conversation while the Minions were left to 'chat.’

It isn't until later in the story that Megamind discovers his visitors' true intentions. They were seeking a power source: one strong enough to operate a contraption he had built that could inject enough energy into a single human vessel to restart their entire being, an invention capable of bringing anyone back from the dead and/or dying.

That power source, of course, was his B.I.N.K.Y. It was the only object from his home planet strong enough to fully power the invention, but he only possessed one. He needed another, and so he had created a portal between their two worlds.

(Backstory of megamind (2.0) destroying his own home planet, killing his own metro man, trying saving his own Roxanne, who, by the way, was dead or rather ‘sleeping in an incubator to slow down their death’ because of him, etc etc. I don’t have all the details but I’ve got the jist mapped out!!! Don’t want to spoil too much)

🕊️Plot Holes: The Unconscious in Action 🕊️

I’ve always viewed plot holes as a lack of careful plotting and an annoying complication that authors encounter— that is, until I realized that plot holes are formed from our unconscious, and sometimes, can reveal intricate truths within our stories. The gaps we don’t fill or forget are purposeful somewhere in the deep layers of our minds and can reveal the underside of characters and plots. You may not have included it in your writing because you decided it long ago in the back of your mind! There may be a true reason why a character made a certain irrational choice, or some question left unanswered that deep down inside you know the answer to. I hope to inspire you to consider the "why" of plot holes and add even more complexity to your stories and writing!

Start under cut:

The putrid scent of methanethiol filled the air as I got closer to my next job site. A sewage pipe in Sector 7 that led to Wastewater Plant C was leaking for the third time this month. February seemed to be an especially bad month for pipe-leakings, probably due to the fact that the surface was cold, at least in the Northern Hemisphere...I think. I've never been up there, I spent my whole life in the Sub-Complex. As I trudged through the rusty maintenance tunnel, the only thing I could hear was the occasional shaaaa from my gas mask. I had to rely on my other senses to find my way, and if I didn't and my supervisor found out, l'd be coming back to the barracks tonight with a fresh new jet-black bruise.

Eventually, after peeking into in a rarely-traveled clean-looking public corridor that was a shoot-off from the tunnel, I found the leak. Brown liquid was dripping from a white ceiling pipe. I found it strange that this hallway was so empty. Sector 7 is usually full of people due to its many resource stations. However, once I started to smell the faint smell of bitter almonds, I realized why this corridor was so desolate. It led to Sector 7's gas chambers.

In those "cells of death," as our commander called them, anyone who was seen as "useless" was exterminated. Mostly people who had disabilities and illnesses that had no cure and would not get better with time. Even babies who were born with special needs came out of the womb and would immedietly get thrown into yet another world of darkness. As I thought about this, I heard footsteps coming in my direction.

I looked up from my spiral and saw a person in a white lab coat an N-95 mask walking briskly in my direction. A doctor. As he got closer, I saw that he was holding a small blue bundle. Oh holy hell, it was a newborn. I moved out of their way as the doctor walked down the hall to the chamber, standing up straight and turned up my gas mask, holding it on my head as I saluted respectfully, my expression staying completely deadpan.

When he walked past, I caught a glance of the baby's face. Or I should say, its faces. It was conjoined twins.

One body, two necks and heads. Both set of them were shrieking, and the doctor was trying to shut them up by suffocating them with the blue blanket. After they passed, they went through an off-white metal door far down the corridor with a lot of yellow warning signs on it, and I finally let my guard down.

I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down. I wasn't permitted to concern myself with sights such as that. So, to get my mind off the horrible sight I just saw, I held the leaking pipes together with one hand and took my large wrench from my tool belt, tightening the megabolt. I then grabbed some clear duct tape and taped the two pipes, like a bridge from one to the other.

After I was done, I asked my SAIVA, "SAIVA, tell me the time." She beeped. "1900." She replied in her slightly off-putting artificially-generated voice. SAIVA stood for Smart Artificial-Intelligence Voice Assistant, and every single registered resident of the Sub-Complex who was capable enough to hold a job had one. She was a little chip that you wore around your neck, along with your identification card.

The IDs only told what our number was, what Sector we were from, our DOB and whatnot, but the barcode that was tattooed on our necks when we were babies told so much more. If you scanned one, you’d get the person’s blood type, sex, and other personal details.
