I love how in Joker, the entire reason Bruce’s parents are killed is because of what Arthur started. In every other movie about Batman we just get Bruce’s parents dying randomly one night and you believe it because Gotham is a complete shithole, but having it not just be some random occurrence and instead having it happen all because of who is to become Batman’s great foe is A-fucking-plus and brings a whole new meaning to Batman and Joker’s relationship.
