ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 .ᐟ "Work Freinds" - Yan!Co-Worker x Reader

♡˚｡° Arthur didn't think much of you at first, the newest enployee. You seemed... intimidating (Don't listen to him, he's intimidated by everyone). You seemed like just another person in the office who would look him over except when you needed someone to do extra work for you.

♡˚｡° Which meant that Arthur was shocked when you came by his cubicle and asked if... he wanted some coffee from the breakroom? What? Why would you offer to get him something instead of only going to get yours?

♡˚｡° During the following days Arthur began keeping a closer eye on you. You worked in the cubicle next to him. Each morning you said hello to him and asked about his night when to took your seat, when you saw he was staying later than everyone else (a few of your coworkers had dumped their workload on him and he was too scared to say "no") you asked if you could help him, and on Friday you brought donuts for the whole office! And even saved him one when he was too scared to walk past all the people to get one himself!

♡˚｡° Arthur developed somewhat of a.. crush. 'Nothing serious' he swore to himself. Arthur started talking to you whenever he could find an excuse to. Asking if he could help with your work, if you brought yourself lunch, how you slept last night.

♡˚｡° Arthur's day used to consist of waking up, going to work, and re-watching the same 4 shows. Maybe checking the new arivals at the local comic book store on the weekends if he could handle speaking to the cashier. But now he went to work, (akwardly) talked to you, researched whatever you had even breifly mentioned that day, watched the tv show he overheard you mention in the breakroom, and fell asleep imagining that if he opened his eyes you would be next to him.

♡˚｡° Arthur had never met someone like you, someone who made him want to push past the comfortable rythm he'd been in for years. Someone who kept listening when he anxsiously rambled instead of actually conversing. Someone intresting and funny and kind (and really hot, did he mention that? He thinks you're like really hot). He was meant to be with you, you were an angel here to save him from his misrable self.

♡˚｡° "um.. I uh- I was wondering if you'd go on a da- GO ON A DAY OFF! Yea! um.. I was wondering when you were taking your next day off!"

☆ - It had been about a month since your new roomate moved in, if someone who lives in your apartment without permission and without paying rent can even be called that. You had wanted to summon a demon to kill the CEO of the company you worked at after he stopped giving holiday bonuses. The spell you found promised a powerful demon but the one you summoned seems more powerful at eating all your junk food rather than vengence, and more interested in you than your boss.

"Do you have to go?" Pix was leaning against your back while you tried to make yourself breakfast, you could feel his breath on the side of your neck. "Why cant you just stay here? We can play No Mans Sky, just stay home." He nuzzled into your neck and you could feel his tail curling around your leg. You'd thought that once he realized you didn't have a use for him he'd leave but he hasn't. In fact, he started crying when you tried to find a spell to force him back. Pix claimed it was because Hell was boring, it didnt have soda or candy or video games and he just couldn't stand it! But the way he clung to your legs in front of your chair, pressing his face into your thighs, gave the impression of another motivation.

You sighed, "I can't pay rent if I dont keep my job, it's not like you're paying you're share." "That's not fair." He whined and grabbed one of the peices of bacon off the hot pan and eating it as if he'd been starved for a week before wrapping his arms around your middle and asking you to bring home more cherry soda.

The apartment was quiet when you got home. Usually you'd be bombarded with the noise of whatever game Pix had discovered that day, but it the only noise was the hum of the air vents. You found Pix curled up in your bed clutching one of your shirts. At least he wasnt as annoying when he was sleeping, with his pink hair all messy and his legs tangles in your sheets he even looked sort of cute (not that you'd ever admit that). Maybe you could put off sending him back a little longer, you think as you pull the blanket over him.
